A great town.

A great town. Has become synonymous with the short lived poet and writer Miyazawa Kenji. Every corner bears signs or artistic creations inspired by his characters in his stories. The English Coast is pleasant for a walk. The town offers many museums, including those dedicated to Kenji and Nitobe Inazo (the author of The Soul of Japan). Very rich in hot springs.
