I liked everything but I especially loved the Hot Bath and the systems and timings. It is the first time in my many travels that the Hot Bath was opened from 2:00 PM till 10:00AM which was perfect. In most other hotels the Hot Bath closes around 11:00PM so we have to rush back from dinner if we want to take a nice long bath. They also had a fantastic relaxation room for after your bath. You could literally fall asleep there in comfort. Breakfast too was good and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Location was the best. We stayed 3 nights but could have stayed more. Will go back for sure.

The room we had was amazing, the dinner exceptional, the breakfast overwhelming. It was a stop we made between 3 days in Kyoto and 3 days in Tokyo and it was such a special experience, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Staff is kind and attentive.

This is the perfect ryokan experience. The room and private outdoor bath looked out onto a small garden and the forest. We didn’t think my son would be able to use the onsen because he has tattoos but they said it wouldn’t be a problem and this made the stay extra special. We had half board and the evening meal was amazing. Our own dining space and lots of lovely food. Service was excellent. Breakfast was also good.

Thank you for such a wonderful stay. Japanese-style apartment. Beautifully decorated. The warm owners took care of everything to make our stay a success. A place in a quiet area. 10 minutes from Torokko station where the Sagano Romantic Train departs. We will definitely want to come back here.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the massage service, and the baths were not crowded. The hotel bar is a pleasant space too. Meals were good, with lovely variety and many healthy elements. I noted less sugar in the food than usually experienced in ryokan meals. I was thankful for this. The staff were very friendly and I was able to completely relax in this enjoyable space. I will definitely return.

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room's immaculate, comfortable beds, spacious with home theatre facilities, a great variety of toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast breads and juices were all good.     I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas.

    I especially recommend it to travelers from overseas. If you are sightseeing in Kyoto, Nara, or Osaka for a few days, staying at this facility and using Kameoka as your base will be the best way to travel to Kansai. Like taking a day trip from your home. If your schedule is 2 nights and 3 days or 3 nights and 4 days, it is definitely a good deal even if you add transportation expenses. You can't stay in a house in Kyoto or Nara.
