The property was just nice for the 5 of us, a family of grandparents, parents and a one year old boy. The host was outstanding . She drove to the train station to collect our luggage so that we could go sightseeing before check in. Later in the evening she voluntarily gave us a ride from town to her property for check in. This was in a freezing condition of -4 deg C. We were absolutely thankful to her for going out of the way to make our stay comfortable.

The decor is beautiful & the owners are so friendly & helpful! They are prompt in replying & I felt the warm hospitality of Japan just by chatting with them and being in their home with a welcome gift as well.

Enjoyed the numerous onsen pools especially the open-air onsen pools. Buffet was good but would be better to extend the breakfast hours to later time at around 10am to 11am as when on holiday, we tend to sleep late and get up a bit later. Overall, good experience, will return again!

For a two day trip to Noboribetsu, we enjoyed the hiking, scenery, and shopping near our hotel. The natural hot springs there are also quite unique - semi translucent in appearance. We really enjoyed soaking in it.

Restaurants outside hotels are limited, so opt in for meals at hotel if possible. The hikes were wonderful. 2 hour hike and you can see it all. Go early to avoid the visitor crush. Only need one day to enjoy the hot springs and get a hike in of Noboribetsu. Glad we made the trip!

Definitely book a traditional Japanese room with floor futons. Much more comfy than the modern beds. Garden view is lovely. Onsen is one of the best I’ve experienced. So many options. Incredible staff. Breakfast was delicious!

Definitely recommended to have a car.

Definitely recommended to have a car. Explore Noboribetsu Onsen, Hell Valley. Day or Half-Day trips to Lake Kuttara, Lake Toya (and Toyako Onsen) are highly recommended. Spend a day trip driving to Hell Valley, and then to Muroran. 2-3 days is sufficient. If travelling by bus or train, make sure to get the schedule beforehand. While Noboribetsu is walkable, the other areas might not be so convenient without a car.

'Wow' is all I can say.

'Wow' is all I can say. Plus it was snowing on that day when we were at Jigokudani, so it was a great feeling. The Onsen in Daiichi is a MUST to try especially the outdoor Onsen is a unforgettable experienced.

We visited at the end of autumn and it was very cold but the accommodation was very warm, inviting and homey. We really felt like we were in a Traditional Japanese House. There were only 4 of us but the house can fit more than 5. Amenities are all there and there was some outdoor campfire which we sadly did not use because we only stayed the night. Very Clean.... Owner is easy to Contact and very Friendly with all our questions and requests. Would Definitely Recommend for anyone Visiting the Onsen town of Noboribetsu.

This hotel is very large but well organised. The onsen is huge with multiple pools offering different temperatures and minerals, they provide instruction on how to wear your yukata and how to use the onsen if it's your first experience. There is a wide choice of food in the buffet for breakfast and dinner, don't be late since they start clearing away promptly. It's in a good location just a short walk to the entrance to the Jigokudani walk to the Oyunuma pond.

The hotel was very nice although the onsen was a little bit dated. The English proficiency of staff was quite variable ranging from excellent to very limited. I had to use google translate with one member. The hotel is a little ways from from the centre of the town so one will have to walk a bit more to get there or to other nearby sites. However, the setting is beautiful and well worth the extra steps.

The location is perfect, being so close to the attractions. The room was clean, and the staff was helpfully and courteous. The onsen in its sister hotel across the street is huge with good facilities. It was unfortunately during our stay that it was raining which made our visit to this onsen less enjoyable - we got wet before and after the visit when walking across the street.
