This guesthouse is worth the climb: located in a beautiful mountainous forest, the sounds of cities and cars are replaced by nature and animals. Takao-san is a wonderful host: he came to our car in the pouring rain with spare umbrellas and upgraded us to the largest room as we were the only guests that night. His family was also very welcoming and sweet. Everything was clean, combining the convivial guesthouse atmosphere to the traditional ryokan room architecture.

Very spacious, serene location overlooking the river and a short walk from one of the submersible bridges. The house had everything we needed and is beautifully renovated while still containing original features of a traditional Japanese house. The futons were very comfortable to sleep. We will be back!

The location is amazing, just outside of Kochi, in the middle of rice fields, where the sound of nature is the one you will hear. The Host is just fantastic, he also type my name like welcome sign, prepared me an amazing breakfast, and the room is huge and price reasonable.

Everything you want in a Hostel/Guest house, a friendly atmosphere with very helpful staff. This place serves a Japanese breakfast and at 1800 they serve up a free curry which helps to get everyone sat around together interacting. There are washing machines and a drier and its well located near to a supermarket and a convenience store. The tram stops right outside which takes you down to the popular market and castle. I woud really recommend this place for anyone into hostel accommodation.
