The house is absolutely spectacular and I recommend brining food and cooking dinner/breakfast there. It was extremely peaceful and great for big groups/families. The host was extremely friendly and checked in on us.

The owner was absolutely lovely and really helpful ! Everything was perfect. The rooms are confortable and we had everything we needed. Thank you for the breakfast and the lunch box (it was delicious!!!). We definitely recommend this place for a nice break during Kumano Kodo.

The host was so kind and accommodating! I arrived very early and she still allowed me to check in to my room. Despite limited english she made effort to use phone to translate. Bento dinner was lovely. Highly recommend.

Shino is suuuuch a great person. She took care of us right from the beginnung, advised us on our tour planning, made dinner, breakfast and lunch boxes. The cottage is incredible, huge, much larger than on the pictures and soo comfortable. Wonderful nights sleep and the heated blanket was amazing. Thanks for everything!

Brand new house, with all the equipments that you would want and more. The house was very clean and relaxing. Had my best night of sleep in a while! Some food was offered (e.g rice, noodles, pata etc) Check-in was super efficient. Bus is 1min away so it is super convenient to go to a town closer to Yunomine and start your hike.

The location is around 1km from the final stamp of Koya Nanakuchi route. Minshuku lady boss is kind enough to fetch me from the stamp site to minshuku and send me to the onsen bath nearby too. Good steamboat dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. It is a minshuku located sideway of road and no shop nearby. So please stock up some groceries and order the dinner and breakfast here. A vending machine is available.

Cannot recommend this place enough! We got there by car around 4pm, and immediately went to the onsen. The room was beautiful and the view to the lake is just incredible. The ladies at the front desk were super nice - despite some language barrier, and with the help of google translate, we told them it was our first time in an onsen and weren’t sure how it all worked, and she spent a lot of time with us to explain the rules etc so we really appreciated that as it can be quite intimidating. like many other reviews, we agree that the food was INCREDIBLE. Both dinner and breakfast was basically a feast; everything was delicious, and we were able to try a lot of new things. The onsen is also amazing, they have a male and female facility, and we have no complaints. The water is incredibly hot so we weren’t able to stay in for long on either side, but honestly the view makes up for it. Overall, it was a great experience, with great food and great views. My partner also has one tattoo on his leg (about the size of a hand), and we were told that it was fine for him to go, which was also good!
