Superb accommodation in beautifully designed new hotel/ryokan. I stayed in the mixed dormitory. Clean, spacious and comfortable. Very quiet at night even when full. Short walk from the train station and to the wharf for bike rental. Restaurants and supermarket two minutes walk away. Cho and Shane are marvellous hosts, and we are now good friends. Easy to make friends with fellow travellers in the shared dining area, and designer style lounge. I loved my 7 day stay at Lemonsea, and in Onomichi. I would have stayed longer.

I wasn't expecting much, but Setoda and Yubune Hotel surpassed my expectation. Design wise very sophisticated, comfortable and spacious for Japan standard. The common area on the 2nd floor was beautiful, and most importantly The Sentō! 10/10, definitely the main highlight of this hotel, you get to relax in hot water after a long day of exploring the island!

Top notch service of staff who could speak English. Made us feel at home with customized service and a modern Ryokan feel. The views from the room was fabulous and we managed to catch the sunset and sunrise. Getting to the property is via the rope way but manageable if you just take a cab from the train station. Would stay there again.

What a wonderful stay I had at Urashima Inn - Gangi, starting from the moment I walked in and was welcomed by Chika in such a friendly way. I could drop my luggage until later and help myself with a hot tea. The room I stayed at had a very nice view, it was in fact extremely nice to look out at the sea. It was very clean, simply furnished but nothing was missing. The bathroom was also well laid out. The bed was comfortable. No breakfast is provided: tea and coffee are available downstairs and there is a kettle in the room. I wish I could have stayed longer than 1 night!

I stayed in one of the dorm beds. The dorm bed was exceptionally comfortable, even by Japanese standards. The mattress and duvet were comfortable, and there was a curtain for privacy. I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the facilities as well. I would definitely recommend this hostel for people cycling the Shimanami Kaido.
