We loved the hotel experience, spacious, well decorated, good smelling, calm classical music playing in the background and an insane view. It felt like a fairy tale. The room was nice, roomy, tidy and I specifically loved to have body lotions and hair brushes. It is a must visit place! Sanda is beautiful and the best scene is in front of you from Celecton's balcony. The staff is helpful and kind. It is worth walking around the hotel and the park too. The cake set is amazing! You can order it from the reception which works as a cafe too.

Our stay was genuinely enjoyable thanks to a mix of thoughtful amenities and charming design. - The location was incredibly convenient - perfect for exploring the area and just a short walk to the nearby onsen. - The building itself has a cool heritage vibe, beautifully maintained and full of character. - Our room was both private and spacious, offering a level of comfort that made it easy to relax - Parking was a breeze: all-day access for just 1000 yen, and the hotel even arranged pickup and drop-off from the carpark. - The staff were fantastic - friendly and proactive. They helped us arrange luggage delivery to our next hotel, which made our travel much smoother.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. One person spoke very good English. There were free drinks (hot & cold) at the lobby area. They have 4 private onsens to book for 45 mins in addition to the shared onsens. We tired the outdoor private onsen but preferred the shared onsen which also had an outdoor onsen. They have 2 types of onsen water and the hotel is located very close to one of the onsen sources, so have excellent hot water. The room was spacious and comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return. The hotel was also close to a big public Onsen facility which we also tried.

I spent two nights here with my husband. This was our second ryokan experience and Negiya set the bar sky-high. Here are a few of the many things we loved about Negiya: 1. The service: Every single member of the staff from arrival to departure has been delightful, attentive, compassionate and dedicated to our well-being. We had the pleasure of interacting with a great number of employees from drivers to managers and we were honestly speechless after several encounters. The kindness was unlike anything we have experienced back home. 2. The food: During our stay we had two different kaiseki dinners that were like two culinary adventures. Everything was neatly arranged and the tastes were both delicious and bold at times. We especially enjoyed our dinners - but the breakfasts were also formidable. It would have been great with an explanation as to what was on our plates, but our waitress did her absolute best trying to answer all our curious questions. 3. The building and facilities: We really wanted a glimpse of a traditional Japanese ryokan and Negiya delivered that and more. Our room had beautiful tatami mats a nice view of green mountains and tree tops. The two onsens were great as well although we preferred Higurashi over Daiyokujyo because it seemed newer and more serene. We paid 3300 yen for a private onsen one night which was a pleasant experience. The whole place has an authentic feel which we both prefer to a modern one. Your priorities may differ. At the time of writing we have just left Negiya and are waiting for the Shinkansen. We wish we could truly express our gratitude to the staff and hope that this review will shed some light on how pleased we are. All the best wishes from Christopher and Emma from Denmark and Sweden.

What guests said about Sanda:

8.0

It's a place blessed with nature.

It's a place blessed with nature. There are shiitake mushroom and strawberry farms and BBQ facilities. There are also several hot springs that can be enjoyed by day trips from the city center by bus or by plane. For those who enjoy art, Shingu Susumu's "Wind Museum" offers a great opportunity to immerse yourself in nature. While I've only given my own opinions, in conclusion, there are many bus routes within Sanda City, some of which are articulated, making for safe travels. Outside of Sanda City, you can use Shinki Railway or JR West. There are also medium-distance buses to Kobe and Osaka Station, making it fun to take a nap while traveling.

It's a city where urban and rural areas are adjacent.

It's a city where urban and rural areas are adjacent. It's a very interesting city, with a center that was created rationally through urban planning and a traditional rural area just a short distance away. The strawberries at the strawberry grower's direct sales store were incredibly delicious. They were the best strawberries I've ever had in my life. I visited by car, and there was good highway access, and although there was a fair amount of traffic in the city, it flowed well. Traveling by car within the city is easy, but there are many hills, so traveling by bicycle may be difficult depending on where you live.
