The most beautiful and warm guesthouse I have ever stayed in. The common area was particularly great, the windows facing out to the mountains were amazing. No faults at all!!! Shirakawa-go is a small town with nothing much open at night so prepare for that by stocking up at the convenience store. It’s about a 10 min walk away from the guesthouse. There is a very small family-run convenience store that is closer but is cash only (try to go there if you can! The staff are lovely). The staff at the guesthouse were unreal! So helpful from as soon as we arrived. Make sure to book their bus terminal shuttle before you get there, don’t make our mistake and try to do the walk cause it isn’t fun! They were funny, kind and always willing to help with anything at all. This was my favourite place I stayed in through all of Japan and I couldn’t recommend it more. Thank you so much for having us! We’re forever grateful.

The room was beautiful and comfortable, bathroom was perfectly clean and well equipped, the location was ideal and the best part were the hosts: they were extremely kind and friendly, they definitely made the whole stay a tremendous pleasure. They were kind enough to take me to the bus station and also delivered some objects I left behind to me by mail. They were gentle and respectful, and I'm very grateful for their treatment and attention. The hosting family was very welcoming and really made us feel at home. They did everything they could to help us and accommodate all our needs, and their hospitality truly exceeded our expectations in so many ways! Our kids loved playing with their sweet daughters, and told us they wanted to stay there forever. We had a lovely time and would love to visit again one day.
