Amasing place with gentle owners, nice and cute japanese vintage style, bright rooms with yukatas, beautiful onsen space with clear hot water, near the nature with excellent connection with City Center by bus or walking, big 7/11 convenient store near. Great location, very close to the train station. Super cute house with great facilities. The air conditioning worked very well in the summer heat. The owner was very friendly and helpful, they gave thorough and clear instructions at the beginning of our stay.

The staff is very helpful, he drove us from and to the Tokamachi Station and also help to book restaurant for dinner. At first, we were still adjusting to the area & turns out it’s very close to 7/11 & close to Nakajo Station that goes to Tokamachi Station back and forth. The staff service is really helpful & we really appreciate the help 🙏🏻

Amazingly charming historical house, maintained by owner with lots of love for every tiny detail. It was a place I’ve never been but I felt melancholic, absolutely a fantastic place to stay. Pity that we spent only for 14 hours in the house.

The hospitality of this place is an absolute 10/10. The place is run by a friendly married couple. We were a bit early and they welcomed us and had our room, ready for us to use. We checked in fast and we went to the Tsunan Snow Festival, we came in back late at around 10pm and the wife greeted us and made sure we knew where the facilities were. The next day, we had a traditional Japanese breakfast and that breakfast is still the best traditional breakfast we have throughout the trip to Japan. The husband explained to us, that the rice was grown by him or his family (we were using language translate apps to communicate). We also had a friendly conversation about where we come from and our trip to Japan. This place completely blew all expectations that we had. We expected this to be just a pit stop on our car journey north (did I mention they have plenty of parking?) but it ended up being a place and a memory that we will never forget.

Our favourite stay of the trip. Like a time capsule, the outside is rustic and the inside is spacious and intact. Rice paper shoji screens and tatami throughout. The owners are absolutely wonderful and the food was the most varied and generous we had. Definitely order dinner, as well as breakfast, but starve yourself for a few days before you arrive.
