Seemed to be newly renovated a month ago, facilities are in very good condition, the sharing space is decent as well (they provided free ice cream!). The onsen experience offered by the hotel is superb. Enjoyed the stay very much

It was near the Ferry to the island Naoshima which we wanted to visit. We could rent excellent electric bikes at the hotel which made it very easy for us to do sightseeing at the island and at the mainland. They had a good arrangement with shuttle bus to the railway station.

Naoshima is worth a few days' visit, ideally on an electric bike. The hotel is set up gor this, with an easy luggage transfer set up from one of the bike shops, a great location 5-10 minutes' ride from the museum areas, and a good restaurant serving meals located right next door. The town where the hotel is located is interesting in itself as more "real" than the artist-enhanced towns and museum areas that one visits. It makes for a restful and interesting contrast.

We loved this quiet, sweet, and spacious cottage. Comfortable beds, a good shower, enough space for our luggage, and its proximity to all the sites made it ideal for us. We especially appreciated the Scandanavian-Japanese design with the rustic, wooden interior. We highly recommend this cottage during a visit to Naoshima.
