I spent my night here on the night of climbing Mt. Kenya. The staff is good and friendly and accommodating. The environment here is serene and clean. Beautiful flowers and beautiful birds and animals. Saw my first peafowl here and other splendid birds. I would rate this place 11/10. Planning to bring my team from Frankfurt for a conference here.

If you are looking for rustic, off the beaten track, accomodation, Podocarpus cottages is an excellent choice! A bit of a drive off the highway on a dirtroad (4x4 when it rains) and you are in a haven, a pleasant cottage, nice garden, stroll to a good view of Mt Kenya, and the host, Michael, is just outstanding. Will do all he can to make your stay great, and connect you with people for anything, order breakfast delivery (!), arrange a pick up of goods from a store, hook you up with a driver, safari organizer and you name it. Super pleasant stay and Michael and his crew are excellent.

Loved their tea and breakfast. They have a great cattle farm where I went for a tour and it was amazing. Loved the fire place and the fact that I could buy yoghurt in the farm. They also did give me hot water bottle which was amazing.

For such a good price we were staying in a tranquil stunning riverside property surrounded by beauty and nature. At night we listened to the Hyraxes and Colabus monkeys. the staff were amazing and the food was good local fare. The bedding and toiletries were 5star. Only remember a head torch as reading at night isn't possible with the current lighting. I just loved our stay even though we didn't choose to do the adrenaline filled activities on offer we sat in gardens and enjoyed the scenery. It's a nice long walk to the rooms but that comes with being spread out along a river. Sun a fantastic place with so much atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff.

The staff were excellent. From communication with Wangari that started right on booking; to the hospitable reception by Winnie, the great accommodation on meals and drinks especially for our young ones and the nice clean warm beds. We were all pleasantly impressed.

Could not fault the service I received here. An absolutely amazing experience. The staff were super friendly and able to assist with any queries or questions I had about the area. The room was large and had tons. It was in a prime location in Nyeri and definitely worth the little extra price. I had some issues with another hotel in the area, so this was the icing on the trip.
