The staff was super friendly. Service was top notch.Their starter soup was super good and food in general was delicious and they served in big portions No WiFi problems,hot shower in the tents .The director got us a great tour guide for the game drive.Would definitely be going back !

The location is really near to the Talek gate of Maasai Mara. The manager Magdy is a nice person who knows the area very well, he was always very careful and gave us details on how to arrive there, as well he organize our safari which was a great experience.

Talek Bush Camp – A Comprehensive Review It has taken me some time to be able to write down into words just how fantastic staying at Talek was, as I feel such a sadness to no longer be there. If you are considering booking this place, or you are looking for somewhere in the Masai Mara to stay, then look no further. Talek is sensational. My family and I felt like VIP’s from the moment we arrived and that treatment did not stop until even after we left Masai Mara. I’ll break down my review into a few important sections, but overall, I feel like I have left my heart at Talek and with the wonderful, warm, conscientious and welcoming people that live and work there. Before Arriving at Camp: I am one of those people that likes to meticulously plan, and that meant that I had found Talek, and Abdul (the wonderful owner) online one year before I even left the UK. From the moment that I messaged Abdul, he was friendly, informative and nothing was too much trouble. This is something that remained true of Abdul and his team throughout our stay. Abdul kindly arranged a transport for us from Nairobi and the five-hour drive to Talek was seamless. The drivers were kind, informative and friendly and even allowed us time to stop and take pictures on our journey. Before arrival Abdul explained how best the safari drives would work and even booked a hot air balloon trip for my husband and I on the day of our anniversary. Every time I messaged Abdul, nothing was too much trouble He was always happy to help and took the time to respond carefully to every query. Our driver, I am so sorry I have forgotten his name, who works at the camp, even took us to the local Masai Village where we met the people and learned all about their culture. What an experience. It was truly fantastic. Accommodation: We stayed in one of the cottages, a little brickwork cabin down with a wonderful view of the river. (One of the only ones to survive the horrendous flood).

The location is perfect, right next to the Talek gate. You have a view on the Masaai Mara from your tent/bungalow! We were in a tent with our family of 5, incl 3 kids. We LOVED the place. Highly recommendable. The staff is simply great, they take care of you from the start until the end. Clean, spacious and comfortable tent/bungalow. The pictures dont do justice to the place.

What an amazing place. Fantastic location, top quality facilities, truly adorable staff, exceptional value for money. We travelled to the Prideinn Mara independently and they were able to organise a brilliant local Masai driver and a vehicle for us. Top quality service. We highly recommend them.

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty.

Food is well presented and tasty however it is a bit salty. If there is tea pots, and some sweets the stay would be more relaxing. Breakfast and Lunch box we had for game drive was excellent with tasty Rosemary chicken roast. There you can find many animals during your stay in Kobe Mara, so you may feel as if you are staying in the park. What makes this camp outstanding is absolutely hospitality of the staffs. We definitely recommend this camp and we like to come back again soon.

Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes.

Great place, lots of animals, beautiful landscapes. Pity that the guides from some travel agencies are not respecting the large carnivores (lions, cheetah) and come too close. Also some guides are allowing tourists to sit on the roof of the jeep, which is forbidden as it is frightening animals.

Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location!

Fig Tree safari camp is in an amazing location! The entire camp is surrounded by a river that you look out at from your room, complete with hippos and other wildlife. The camp is very safe with Maasai men patrolling the park all night. They also walk you to your tent after dark. There is a beautiful pool, campfire, dining room. It’s worth the drive!

Talek, like many places in Kenya, is a bit unusual.

Talek, like many places in Kenya, is a bit unusual. There's a lot of litter lying around. However, the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you've booked a room in one of the camps, you won't have much contact with the town itself. There's an ATM – which was important since the internet connection was down and the park entrance fee had to be paid in cash.

The only downside is that it is difficult to get there.

The only downside is that it is difficult to get there. We took a taxi from Narok - 5500 kes. It cost us 4000 kes back from the camp to the main road and then 3000 kes for a taxi to Narok. Which the Safari guide arranged for us. I think that there is definitely no way to talk about a fair price here

Duma Mara Camp offers excellent value for money.

Duma Mara Camp offers excellent value for money. The tents are very spacious and practically furnished. The bathroom was clean, the shower always had hot water, and the view from the tent across the Talek River into the Mara is beautiful. The gate to the Mara is just a few meters away. The food was good and plentiful, and the staff were extremely helpful!
