Facilities were super clean, probably the cleanest out of my entire stay. Very new and refurbished also. All toiletries provided and finally some larger bath towels. Also a tub and separate shower which is quite rare in Korea (usually a wet room setup). Plenty of storage throughout the bathroom and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and everything about the light fixtures and room was well thought out from the bedside lamps, to the full length mirror and lots of power points everywhere. The power points also has universal plugs and USB ports just in case you don’t have a converter. The best thing about the hotel was the staff at reception. Olivia and Dustin (Jiho) were the two who I interacted for my very short one night stay but they were extremely helpful. Both very fluent in English too so communication was even easier. Dustin also advised me to walk to Seoul Station instead of taking a cab which was the correct advice: was an easy flat 10 minute walk that got me from the hotel to the airport line. Reception also provided free water bottles and adaptors and basically anything you needed. There is a lift to your floor, no lugging of suitcases. If you’ve been around Seoul you know some hotels there is usually a one flight walk up.

What a lovely hotel and such a friendly professional staff. It was a great stay from beginning to end. Very quick check in and check out. Amazing suite. We booked Atelier club 1607 and it was 10/10. Our booking includes breakfast and happy hour. Food in restaurant was nice but more cheese is needed for breakfast but overall everything was great. The guitar player in the library was talented. My room was large and super comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfect and most attractions are within walking distance and the subway station is just outside the hotel door. I will definitely stay here next time I visit Seoul and I recommended this hotel for my friend who booked already.

    Seoul has dozens of neighborhoods that are absolutely worth...

    Seoul has dozens of neighborhoods that are absolutely worth visiting, and I truly wish I could have stayed longer. Next time, I plan to focus more on exploring the Natural Parks and hidden treasures around the city. Staying in such a vibrant area made it impossible not to feel like a real part of the city, and the energy of the surroundings was unforgettable.

    Seoul is a great city.

    Seoul is a great city. The people of Seoul are gracious, helpful and friendly. We are gingseng chicken soup at a Michelin guide restaurant on the main road leading to the Gyeoungbokgung palace. This meal was excellent.

    The street culture is lively and unique.

    The street culture is lively and unique. From food stalls offering tasty bites like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and hotteok (sweet pancakes) to late-night cafes and 24-hour shops, there’s always something happening. The scenic view from Seoul Tower is increditable. However, Seoul can get very crowded, especially in popular districts like Myeongdong.

    I stayed at Wecostay Myeongdong for 5D4N and it truly felt...

    I stayed at Wecostay Myeongdong for 5D4N and it truly felt like a home away from home. The unit was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with all the appliances we needed, making the stay very comfortable. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear, user-friendly, and easy to follow. The location is excellent — Chungmuro Station and Euljiro 3 Station are both within walking distance, and there are convenience stores like CU and 7-11 just around the corner. The lobby is connected to Lucky Seoul Café, where I really enjoyed the dumpling soup. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Wecostay Myeongdong to anyone visiting Seoul.

    Seoul is a city that crept up on me.

    Seoul is a city that crept up on me. While I had researched some 'things to do', I had no real idea what to expect. With my walking shoes on, I wandered, and the city drew me in. I loved the vast differences between the old and new, the daily street marches, always with singing or marching bands, on political, religious and financial issues, the greenery and the food.

    I Traveled solo from South Africa 🇿🇦 and this hotel was the first best choice I made. The location is superb, central to everything! The staff were really helpful and they give you guidance on how to get to the hotel from the Airport. Great restaurants around, Convenience Stores, Cafes, Department stores, Markets etc. The room was cozy with all the necessary amenities and I had a nice view of Namsan Tower🙂. Great value for money. I miss Korea already. I will be coming back!!

    Airport bus for Icheon Airport is right in front of Hotel. Subway station is 2 mins walk. All markets and Myeongdong are within walking distance. Location is quiet and is sort of within streets with local shops and hardware stores which is nice to walk around. Regarding the actual rooms in hotel - beds are comfortable, rooms more spacious than other hotels we stayed in Korea. We traveled with 3 teenagers. We were given 2 joined rooms - double and 3 beds which was very nice.

    As a solo female traveller , this is the best hostel to stay when you are in Korea . It is at the shopping district of Myeongdong and only 5 mins walk to Myeongdong train station . And it is two stop away from Seoul station ( the station that u use to take Airport , ITX , KTX or Mgunghwa line) . Fantastic!

    I used this hotel for my last night in Korea, just to be close to the Airport Limousine stop since my flight was early in the morning. However, if you plan to stay longer in Seoul, choose something else, with bigger rooms and much closer to the metro. I did that for my first five nights in Seoul.
