What a hotel!!! I will breakdown my review because so much to say but ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY STAY!! Location: 20 minutes from the intercity bus terminal, you can take a taxi outside if you need help the hotel can assist in arranging one. It is located right outside the Hahoe Village. Service: Amazing staff! Many thanks to Sue who made sure there was someone waiting at the hotel as we arrived at 10:00PM which is past check time. The manager who received us and was kind enough to book a taxi for the next day I cannot remember his name :( many many thanks to Jun the general manager who ensured my stay was comfortable, explained the history of every single meal provided and answered any questions. Lastly the kitchen and housekeeping staff who were great! Rooms: I cannot recommend staying in this hotel enough! If you like culture and want to experience hanok stay this is it!! The room was so beautiful, they provide all the amenities. Hygiene levels are very well maintained. I loved soaking in the spa bath 10/10 Restaurant: I had my breakfast and dinners in the hotel. They offer local breakfast-bulgogi or continental I recommend trying the local breakfast was soo good. I also highly recommend the dinner which is curated and definitely try the local wine and makgeolli you will not regret it!! As an added plus Mr. KIM who is the 'tour guide' of the hotel was able to provide a full day tour of the historical places around and we finished with the village exploration and mask performance. He is very knowledgable seeing as he is a published professor with UNESCO so I recommend highly his services. Lots of cafes too around the hotel and I think the village offers paid shuttle service to the city. Overall this was a great great stay!! I went to reconnect with nature and take a break from the city bustle and it exceeded my expectations!!! Do stay here 100%

This brand new hotel ticked all the boxes! Excellent location in a newly developing area. Lots of eateries nearby; a jogging trail around the lake at the back of the property; walking trails in local parks across the road, and all just 5km away from historic Hahoe Village. Our room overlooked what will soon be another major development, but is currently just an empty section (I would recommend requesting a room at the back overlooking the lake). Everything in the room was wonderful - morning sun; double glazing (so absolutely no road noise); great shower; wonderful toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash); a mini fridge; daily cleaning; comfie bed; lots of charging points and plugs. The breakfast buffet is the best we have had yet on our trip, and definitely recommended, with both western food (hash browns, bacon, pastries, coffee), along with multiple Korean dishes. We used the gym for a back/biceps weight session, and while the equipment is a little limited, there is still enough for a good workout (a full dumbell set up to 20kg, abductor/adductor machine, hyper-extension machine, Smith rack, and two incline benches). This is the second Stanford hotel we have stayed at on our tour of the country, and they are all obviously top notch!!!

Super nice place to stay! The host was very helpful with driving us to and from Hahoe village as we did not come by car.

Sleeping at Chunghyo residence is an historical travel back hundreds years ago. The place is so authentic! The host is very nice, welcoming us with tea and home made pastry. There were bottles of water, coffee and tea in our room. Breakfast was simply exceptional. Host was really kind and also offered us to visit the book relique museum next to Chunghyo. Sleeping inside the village enables to visit it before the tourist crowds are coming (9am to 5pm). Acess by car to the Hahoe village is possible only between 5h30 pm and 9 am. Really worth!

It’s a beautiful cafe filled with cats! Really comfortable, and a great place to unwind after a tiring day. The staff are wonderful and very kind. The food and drink in the cafe is exceptional. :) thank-you for having us!

There was a female employee who helped us arrange passenger transportation bookings and solve transportation problems. I really appreciate.

The owner is very hospitality and informative. it’s really traditional house.
