Having been fortunate enough to have stayed at the hotel and been the only guests for 3 out of the 8 days we were there. This gave us a unique experience of the hotel and the staff. We felt like we had our own private hotel. The hotel has a very local feel to it with an impression of being submerged in the forest surrounded by greenery. So much wildlife and the sound of the ocean constant crashing on the beach The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome comfortable and at home. As an eco hotel with full board we were not sure how it would be and if we would enjoy the experience. The locally sourced fresh food was amazing and could not be faulted. We could not help but leave empty plates after every meal. We would highly recommend viewing the video on the iPad provided in the room. This will give you a better idea of the resort and how it works. If travelling with younger kids or fussy eaters the hotel was very flexible and help making some simple foods for it 4 year old son. We were lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka at New Year and the team were very kind to arrange a special breakfast and involve us with the traditional ceremonies, celebrations and games and even planting the trees❤️ After this vacation we felt so comfortable we almost felt like we were at home. I’m sure everyone has different experiences and when visiting new places but our was just perfect for us. We would highly recommend this resort to any of our friends or anyone planning to visit Sri Lanka. We would like to thank our hosts, again, for the amazing time we had in the Ravana Garden resort! Will be back for sure ♥️

This is a brilliant hotel for kids

Breakfast was exceptional and included, the evening meal was outstanding, order your drinks so they have them in, our preference is bottled Lion beer and ginger beer shandy, refreshing in the heat I read other peoples reviews and I had to include this homestay in our trip, Hungama doesn't attract the usual tourist but it was quite convenient to Yala and easy to access Bundala national parks. Our host, Sagara, took an hour out of his day to walk with us which was interesting and informative..

Beautifull rooms,very kind staff,excellent food,nice pool. Very relaxing place,definately not overcrowded,good prices in the restaurant according to the quality of food. Mighty ocean.

Wonderful location at an almost secluded beach. The beach is one of the best we ever been to. We had a great and relaxing time and would always come back. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection.

We stayed in one of the Hobbit-style rooms, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the room was equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and a private bathroom, all while maintaining its magical, rustic charm. The meals at Iggabara Hobbit House were a highlight of my stay. The kitchen serves delicious, home-cooked Sri Lankan meals made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Dining on the terrace, surrounded by nature, was an unforgettable experience. The breakfast, which included traditional Sri Lankan hoppers, fresh fruit, and tea, was the perfect way to start the day. The hospitality at Iggabara Hobbit House was warm, genuine, and heartfelt. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and their kindness added to the magical atmosphere of the place. They were always available to help with anything we needed. At night, the property is lit up with fairy lights, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. 15 minutes by walk or 5 mins by Tuk Tuk, and you reach the Turtle beach and some local restaurants.
