The location was picturesque, staff was super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the stay was really comfortable with all the comforts that you'd expect in any good hotel. As a minor detail, I loved the fragrance of the toiletries provided. This place gives you a great value for the money you spend on it.

It has everything you want in a five star resort. Kids slide is fun for kids up til 8-10 years old. The beach is beautiful but even when we there in April the current was so strong that is was prohibited to go into the water. We had half board and the buffet in the evening was actually really really good. Lots of variety every day. We were there for 6 days. Often these all you can eat buffet is not that great even in a 5 star hotel, but this was really good. Staff was very friendly.

Casa Vacansa was the most surprisingly amazing accommodation of our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The whole homestay is decorated with so much love and attention to detail, something we found missing in most other accommodations where everything is more "functional". The room, bathroom and especially the terrace were amazing and it's a nice and romantic atmosphere for two having your dinner on the big porch. The food was very good (we had Sri Lankan Sea Food Curry) and it was fantastic and the service even better. The owner has 15 years of experience in a luxury hotel and it just shows with his service and attention to detail and his great English. We also did 2 tours to the nearby bird sanctuary and the Ussangoda Beach with him and had a great time. The area is very quiet so it's a good getaway from the busy hustling and bustling of the coastal towns to relax and enjoy the quiet. I almost never write feedbacks but our stay here was just too great not to write one.

Amazing room design, colors and lights. Felt very positive vibe. Nearby beach is beautiful, great for walking. The property gave us the biggest suite they have as a free upgrade.

Aruni and the Blue Ocean resort team were amazing from start to finish. We booked the ocean view room and it was so stunning that we decided to stay for a month. During that month, we got help from Aruni with booking lagoon tours, setting up a trip to both the safari parks that were nearby and a lot of other things. Whenever we needed tuktuks she would go out of her way to arrange it for us. One time I had to take a sick stray dog to the vet and she arranged everything with the vet and tuktuk to take me there, she even fed him and now he is there often and it was very sweet and she really did not have to do that. I cannot recommend Blue Ocean enough to anyone thinking about staying here. The beach is quiet and huge, there is so much wildlife nearby and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Whenever we wanted to eat at the resort we would ask her in advance for some fish, lobsters and shrimp. On our last day they even had bbq which was very tasty. Thank you Blue Ocean team. We will definitely be back! And we already miss the two (now three haha) dogs Brownie, Emma and Cheese ball :D

We had a amazing stay at the hobbit house. The owner and his mother were incredibly kind and helpful. We had a lot of questions during our stay and always got immediate help. The homemade breakfast was one of the best we had. Also the room is just absolutely beautiful and unique.

Absolutely Everything - the most amazing place with the most incredible staff. Kamal and his team are absolutely fantastic and we couldn't recommend this place highly enough - easily the best place we have ever stayed driven hugely by the fantastic staff! We enjoyed our stay in Omia, best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks vacation. The bungalow was big enough for two people, very nice interior design. What I personally noticed and liked is that the bungalow has those little things you might need when on vacation - a mosquito repellent diffuser, a broom, a bottle of filtered water, additional pillows, a torch etc. Another advantage is remoteness of this hotel from parties and loud places. Omia is the right choice for you if you wanna relax. The team and the owner were extremely friendly, found us a bike, helped us finding the souvenirs, the right beaches, cafes.
