I recently had the pleasure of staying at River Shades Hotel, and I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail carefully considered to ensure a comfortable stay. The beds were incredibly cozy, and I particularly appreciated the attention to cleanliness and the high standard of maintenance throughout the property. What truly sets River Shades apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, always greeting guests with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They were attentive, courteous, and eager to assist with any request — a true reflection of Sri Lankan warmth and professionalism. The food was another highlight — delicious, fresh, and full of local flavor. Whether it was breakfast by the river or dinner under the stars, every meal was a memorable experience. I had a wonderful stay at this private luxury cottage near Galle. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage was exceptionally clean, with comfortable linens and all the necessary amenities, including tea, coffee, hot water, and toiletries—all provided free of charge. The complimentary WiFi covered the entire cottage, ensuring a seamless connection. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast, served in a peaceful setting with the soothing sounds of birds and stunning nature views. The location is ideal, close to popular tourist attractions such as waterfalls and monasteries. Additionally, the nearby village offers unique experiences like cinnamon peeling, hiking, and birdwatching. Overall, this cottage is a perfect blend of comfort and nature, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

I had such a great experience staying at this hotel. It is very newly built, so everything felt fresh and clean. The room was super spacious and really comfortable and had everything I needed, like tea/coffee making facilities, a mini fridge, and a safe locker. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop restaurant. The panoramic sea view from up there is absolutely stunning, especially at sunset it honestly felt like heaven. The food was delicious too, really exceeded my expectations. The staff were just lovely ,always helpful, attentive, and smiling. It really made the stay feel warm and welcoming. Definitely planning to come back again.

Everything is 100% perfect. Perfect large rooms, cleaning every day. Chef who will cook especially for you. Very tasty food. There is a free transfer to Hikkaduwa and back. Very polite and friendly staff. They work harmoniously, like a family. Gorgeous pool, towels. The beach is right across the road, one minute walk. There is no one there except locals, there are special sun loungers and you can go snorkeling. I would like to separately note the delicious food and large portions. Thank you very much! Our holiday was unforgettable, we would like to come back to you!
