Lovely location overlooking the river and a short free boat ride provided to access the wonderful Bentota beach. Nuwan and Dinesha are great host and cooked a lovely Sri Lankan breakfast (and omelette for the kids) every morning. Family apartment on top floor was very spacious and perfect for us.

There are no words to describe the hospitality and kindness, we were welcomed like part of the family. We felt like Chami Villa was second home, it was our first accomodation in Sri Lanka and we miss it already. As I told you, I would give you a 100, but I can only give you a 10. The property is beautiful, rooms are large, very clean with good air-conditioning. Breakfast was abundant and so tastefull. We were 4, 2 adults and 2 children and the triple room had more than enough space for us, the big bed was large enough for 3 to sleep in. When my daughter fell and got wound on her legs, he brought us a cream to help heel it. When we went to the beach, they made sure we had everything we needed. Last but not least, Maya the dog was so charming and our children did not want to leave Chami the last they because of her and they keep mentioning her all the time.

The staff is extremely professional and friendly, and the garden is beautifully groomed, located on the edge of a river. The food is delicious and presented artistically. I loved every moment here. Food was delicious, pool clean , we arrived during the Sri Lankan new year and was given a beautiful meal for breakfast , it was just lovely. Hotel owner Janus very nice and came to sit with us during our evening stay had a great laugh together what a wonderful host

We arrived after 4 days travelling and adventuring so were ready for a relaxing break. We enjoyed the pool at our hotel and swimming in the sea. It was a beautiful few days spent in a beautiful place. We had dinner one night at Catamaran and sat on the beach with a great mojito watching the sunset - grilled seafood was amazing. We walked the beach every day and it was so nice and we weren't bothered by people selling things. We even saw mama turtle tracks which was exciting!

Beautiful property, well maintained, big colonial style rooms. We stayed here for the first two nights of our holiday and it was the perfect place to recover from jet lag. The pool is great, location is romantic with a train at the bottom of the property, which you need to cross to access the beach. The staff were incredibly helpful, the service was faultless, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the welcome drink, tea, and the Sri Lankan feast was the best rice and curry we had in our entire two week trip. If you can, stay here!

Our first stop in Sri Lanka and we struck gold. What an elegant and beautiful boutique hotel Thamburu is. We were so fortunate to be given the whole hotel experience with all the staff waiting on us at all times and we had the whole boutique villa to ourselves for 2 days. The food was delicious and the service was 10/10. The villa is impeccably clean and its minimalist decor stunning. Would definitely go again. We loved every moment of our time there. So relaxing.

The villa has new rooms, very clean and comfortable. At breakfast we had the most delicious fruits in Sri Lanka. The location is good, near to the beach - you have to go over a park and the beach is there. You can see the ocean from the room. Bentota has also a lovely beach, large and not to crowded. Very good quality for the price - better as in other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. We recommend it for sure!
