We stayed two nights in there,it was amazing ..we had warmly well come with fresh sour sop juice.every breakfast had lokal curry with some lokal varieties also porridge. They arrange sunrise tour and elephant safari in minneriya national park.sorround sight seen can be cover from this place with sort distanced. We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

Nice and clean room with friendly staff the location is very close to the Dambulla rock temple about 300 meters and about 20 minutes to echo park where you can see elephants and sigiriya rock .very close to many other places from the location.the hotel staff arrange the transport for any location that you want to visit. The location is a brand new hotel and price is reasonable.The restaurant is under construction and the will arrange food for you if you request.

The guesthouse is very close to Dambulla Cave Temples which was the reason I chose it. It has decent rooms and very friendly hosts. Run by a sweet family who are always willing to help out. I always got response within a min if I needed anything. I found their rates for tuk tuk to Polannaruwah and Sigiriya so I opted for a private one and they didn't mind. Had breakfast one day and it was a big spread and pretty good. The room is very clean and the bathroom too.

Kalundewa Retreat is nestled into rice paddies and conservation areas for bird and other wildlife. It operates a mushroom project and uses herbs and vegetables from their own organic gardening facilities in their culinary delights (the Sri Lankan curry breakfast is worth savouring). A large cauldron of Indian flying fox (fruit) bats, local resident at the retreat, can be observed and enjoyed at full flight at dusk - a worthwhile spectacle.

Great Location, feels like being in the jungle- you can hear all kind of birds. Close to a village, you can go for a nature walk. You can get local food all around in walking distance at the main road. We could visit Dambullah Caves, Sigiriya by tuktuk and Minneriya national Park was also very close. The hotel is spacious and quiet and it has a really big and clean pool. Really good and friendly service 😊

Reserved the hotel just as a stopover (location just by bus station) but I wish I could stay longer. Nice hotel with restaurant and bar, place to chill, quiet in the night. Very helpful manager. Nice pressure in (hot!) shower. Nice breakfast. Good potential for a base to visit places around Dambulla.
