It was truly an amazing stay here! We walked stage 16 of the Pekoe trail and were welcomed with tea and biscuits. The room is spotless as is the modern bathroom and the host goes to all length to make your stay comfortable. It feels like a home away from home. We had both dinner and breakfast here and that was fabulous as well. Tasty and more than we could eat. The food we did not finish in the morning was packed for us to take as lunch on the walk! The host is very helpful and tries to answer all your questions; we were very pleased with that. We would highly recommend staying (and eating) here. The price is very reasonable for all you get!

Staying at Wood Palace in Ella was one of the highlights of my trip. The location is perfect — it feels like you’re tucked away in the jungle, surrounded by nature and total peace, yet you’re only a short stroll from town, cafes, and everything you need. That balance between seclusion and convenience is hard to find, but this place nails it. The family who runs it make the stay extra special. The mother who prepares breakfast is absolutely adorable — she cooks with such care, and her warm smile makes every morning brighter. The breakfasts themselves are delicious, fresh, and generous. The owner is a great bloke too — kind, genuine, and always ready to help with tips, directions, or just a good chat. If you want a stay in Ella that feels authentic, welcoming, and beautifully set in nature without being far from the action, Wood Palace is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

The place was amazing !!! The view, the rooms and be close to the nature was so great. The green area, herbal plantation, mountains and you are in the middle of it. The best of our stay here were people, owner with his sister were just AWESOME !! The food was prepared fresh for us with all Sri lankan origin, so tasty, so many choices and home made. All of that gives you possibility to fill like home but in the most beautiful place in the world! Thank you ❤️

This is an exceptional accommodation option in Ella! Not only it has nice & clean room, excellent view but the owner is the person who’d make your stay! willing to help with everything, pick you up or drive within Ella in his tuktuk or even wake up in the morning with you to drive you to Little Adam’s peak for sunrise. And icing on the cake is the huge breakfast served right at your patio full of fresh fruits, local meals and hot coffee. We weren’t even able to finish it all :( Even though the accommodation is located a little bit further from Ella’s main street, thanks to the owner’s perfect care we didn’t even noticed. Thank you and hope to come back soon! 💚

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Moon Rock, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. But what truly impressed me was the host's thoughtfulness and attention to detail. We had an early start the next day for a long journey to Colombo, and the host kindly prepared breakfast for us ahead of schedule. But that wasn't all - they also packed a snack and water for us to take on the road! This kind gesture was completely unexpected and truly appreciated. It's clear that the host genuinely cares about their guests' comfort and well-being. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. It’s beautiful and neat. The food was delicious.The location is situated close to a few activities like Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Club and the zip line. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even decorated our bed and made a special cake for our anniversary. They go the extra mile. Really an amazing place, highly recommended!
