Elephant Fence was fantastic! We highly recommend staying here. We got in late off a train from Colombo (~8:00pm) and the owners welcomed us and served us dinner at Chill & Grill (their adjoining restaurant). The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more (wifi, mini fridge and aircon). The accommodation is quiet and surrounded by nature. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here - it was so yum! We did a cooking class with the owners and would highly recommend you do the same!

Woodland Sanctuary exceeded all our expectations. The wooden room was cozy and stylish, with a warm, natural vibe. The stones-finished bathroom was unique and truly memorable. Dudley and Maleesha were outstanding hosts, making sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Breakfast by the garden was a treat, with traditional flavors and a serene view. The pool was pristine and perfect for relaxing after exploring. The peaceful atmosphere and views of the surrounding jungle made this place unforgettable.

What a special place this is to stay in, it was absolutely perfect. The view from the bungalow overlooking the pool with the lake in the background is fabulous, an incredibly relaxing place to stay. One of the nicest pools to swim in. Location is fantastic for enjoying a safari, or walking down to the local restaurant for dinner at the lake. We really enjoyed the breakfast provided each morning, sampling different Sri Lanka breads and pastries, the freshest fruit and equally delicious coffee. We also enjoyed a beautiful Sri Lankan dinner at sunset lovingly prepared by Sasini which I would highly recommend. Wished we could have stayed longer.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible hosts, Madhu, her husband and Komari. The hotel is nestled in a beautiful, calm location with a spice garden, created by our lovely hosts, outside of busy and loud Habarana. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony, modern aircondition and very good water pressure. A short swimming in the pool in the morning was a fantastic way to start a long, hot day. It is just a short walk from the property. They are building a pool on the property right now (september 2025). The food was absolutely delicious — authentic Sri Lankan flavors at it's best. Madhu and Komari are great cooks and prepared all kinds of delicious traditional dishes with so much knowledge and love. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner for five days and they were happy to show us the incredible variety of Srilankan food. Certainly the best food experience we had on our trip! What truly made the experience special was their extraordinary kindness and hospitality. They did everything to make us feel like home. Thank you and ayubowan, Madhu and her kind husband, Komari and the rest of the crew, for making our trip so memorable. We hope to come back to this wonderful place. Highly recommended!

It was a great experience at Sky forest. Loved everything about the stay. It's amazing how the architecture of the cabanas and tree house blends with nature seamlessly. The caretaker is friendly and professional. Attentive to our needs immediately. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Clean and spacious washroom. The food was great. I would like to recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay calmly and peacefully escape from the busy lifestyle. Great location in the middle of a really timy village, completely surrounded by nature. The nicest host family, who made everything to make our stay comfortable. We had wonderful dinner and breakfast. Really calm and beautiful place. Beautiful clean room with hot water. We really recommend renting a bike and biking to the Ritigala mountain.
