Our stay in this guesthouse was simply lovely. Giida is a great, warm and friendly host - and a great cook! We had dinner twice and it was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s! We got hot coffee (even at 5:30 in the morning) and water and enjoyed the hammocks and the garden. The facilities are simple and functional and overall the guesthouse offers great value for money. Don't hesitate and book your stay here - it's amazing.

We recently enjoyed a memorable stay at Ceylon Resort Wildpattu, located near Wildpattu National Park. The owner was exceptionally kind and upgraded our room to a spacious, comfortable suite complete with a large bathroom and hot water. The resort’s unique setting nestled within nature means you’re surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle—even the garden attracts a variety of local wildlife. Despite arriving late (around 10:20 PM), we were warmly welcomed. The owner personally ensured that our late arrival was taken care of by waiting with a delicious buffet dinner featuring an array of traditional Sri Lankan dishes. He even explained every dish and introduced us to delightful local desserts. Another highlight was the convenient transportation service offered by the resort. The owner arranged rides to and from various destinations, even picking us up from a location 2.5 hours away. We also took part in an exciting safari trip to Wildpattu National Park via this resort.. Our driver for safari was knowledgeable and resourceful, successfully handling minor other mcar repairs during the safari. The journey through the humid forest was thrilling as we encountered numerous animals, creating an unforgettable wildlife experience. While our stay was brief—we only spent one night as we headed out for a full-day safari—the clean, spacious rooms and the owner’s attentive care made it feel like a home away from home. I wholeheartedly recommend Ceylon Resort Wildpattu to anyone looking for an immersive nature experience combined with genuine hospitality.

A great place for anyone who wants to relax, recharge, and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and do everything to make you feel comfortable and at home. The local people are always smiling and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious — homemade, traditional, and cooked with love, just for you. The rooms are new, with a big, comfy bed, and there's hot water in the shower. In the mornings and evenings, it’s amazing to sit on the terrace, listen to the birds, and watch the monkeys. If you’re planning a trip to Wilpattu, make sure to stay at this resort! P.S. I’d say this is the best resort in the area.

We stayed here for our Safari in Wilpattu National Park and had a very good experience. We were looking for a hotel close to the park with air conditioning, a pool, and dinner service – all of these expectations were fully met. The hotel looks modern and very clean, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. A special detail was that we received our breakfast at 5:30 a.m. for the safari, which was very thoughtful. My 7-year-old son is a picky eater and did not like the dinner at first – not because of the kitchen, but simply his taste. The staff were very attentive and helped us find something special for him, which we really appreciated. The view of the lake from our room was fantastic. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy.

Great staff, close to the entrance of Wilpattu park. Very close to the elephants. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge and it was great. The outdoor shower is always a big plus.
