I always use this hotel when I travel to Badulla. The reason is that the hotel is in the city center, so it is very convenient for exploring the city of Badulla, and the price is very good. Very nice located home with fantastic view over Badulla. Short distance to city center, easy to get to by TukTuk. Quiet and clean. The rooms and bathrooms have a good size. Nice little pool to cool down and have a break. The owner is very friendly and helpful in all kind of things and comes with good tips for day activities and places to go/to eat. We had some fantastic days and can highly recommend this place.

Second time I stay here as I haven’t found something similar in Badulla. Calm place a bit out of the centre. Anyway, they have their tuktuk that gets you in the city and comes to pick you up when you call them - at a fixed price. Kitchen is OK, haven’t tried a lot though. The place is generally well maintained, clean, and the staff is pleasant.

The host was very nice, attentive and helpful. He made everything to make a wonderful and perfect stay in Hali Ella. The room was super clean. Beds the most comfortable we haved in Sri Lanka and shower with hot water! Breakfast was also delicious and huge portions they even put it to take away! Close to Ella by train (only in the morning).Thank you for everything!
