This place was absolutely breathtaking—truly a dream! The house, designed by the host, was just as stunning. You can immediately tell they have incredible taste. Wow! The hosts were beyond kind and welcoming. They gave us a tour of their garden, and it was nothing short of magical. If you can name a fruit or vegetable, they grow it! Breakfast was a feast—fresh, flavorful, and straight from the garden. Every bite was pure joy! All in all, this stay was unforgettable. Before we left, we each planted a durian tree, and we can’t wait to come back in a few years to see it grow. If you're looking for a special place to stay, this is it!

I liked many things about Nuga Retreat. First of all, the beautiful, natural surroundings with mountain views created a unique atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The rooms were comfortable and well-equipped, providing convenience, and the outdoor pool was a great place to unwind. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who truly made an effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

Great stay here, spacious room with a great balcony. For dinner they served a 3 course meal, well executed. Location is awesome, the view from the pool over the hills and valleys is wild and it wasn't far to Kandy City which I found a bit hectic, so it was nice to escape back to the more natural setting at the hotel. They had a naturalist here, who took us on a morning walk through the pekoe trail and imparted so much knowledge of the local plant & wildlife. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends travelling through Sri Lanka.

It’s an amazing spot for a perfect getaway with plenty of nearby attractions like the Pettigala mountain hike and Victoria Reservoir viewpoint to explore. Everything was perfect! 🤗 The hotel was very clean and beautiful. It is surrounded by lush greenery, and the whole building blends seamlessly into nature with its earthy colours, plants, and thoughtfully designed interior and exterior. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Two sides of the room were just windows, allowing you to wake up to the sunrise over the mountains. The breakfast was delicious, with generous portion sizes. The milk tea was a 10/10! Since it was the Sri Lankan New Year, they had also arranged a table with traditional Sri Lankan sweets, which was a lovely touch. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Upon arrival, we were given a WhatsApp number for communication. They responded quickly and clearly—very friendly and professional. The location was also great, just a 30-minute drive from Kandy, making it convenient for exploring the area. But honestly, the resort itself was so peaceful and well-designed that we felt completely relaxed without even needing to leave. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Overall, it was such a wonderful experience. Highly recommended! ❤️❤️❤️
