Host was really nice and helpful. He organised great safari for us. Our driver's name was Dushan- I really recommend this guy. He knows a lot about safari and we enjoyed it. Apart from that we had delicious dinner and breakfast in this price. I really recommend this place!

This is amaizing natural place on the bank of the river with big very old trees where you can see a lot of birds and another wild life. The house is made with only natural materials with passion and love. Host are unique and the food too. If you really want to spend a time in quiet wildness, play yoga and meditate..this is the place..Thank you for everything you done and sure i come back.

During our three unforgettable weeks in Sri Lanka, this was undoubtedly THE best place we stayed. Everything about it was flawless, but what made it truly stand out was the magical setting. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the villa offers an unparalleled connection to nature – you genuinely feel like you’re immersed in the rainforest, which isn’t surprising given that the stunning Sinharaja Forest Reserve is just moments away. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re lounging by the serene pool or relaxing on your private balcony, the vistas are like nothing I’ve experienced before – vibrant, tranquil, and endlessly captivating. The villa itself is equally impressive, with a warm wooden chalet vibe. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with all the amenities you’d need, including a fridge, plenty of sockets, and cosy furnishings. It felt like a luxurious home away from home. The attention to detail here was exceptional. Having stayed in several five-star hotels, I can confidently say this villa meets, if not exceeds, that standard. The staff deserve special mention – they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. They arranged everything for us, from TukTuks to local tours, and even went above and beyond to make my 30th birthday celebration extra special, complete with personalised touches. The pool was another highlight – beautifully maintained, it was the ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring. And the food? Simply sublime. Dining in their charming greenhouse-style restaurant, surrounded by the garden’s lush greenery, was an experience in itself. Each meal was a delight, made even better by the panoramic views. In short, everything about this place was exceptional. If you’re looking for a blend of luxury, nature, and outstanding hospitality, this is it. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful with everything and also with booking a safari. The lodge has everything you need. Definitely recommend this place!

The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The pool was very well kept (as are the beautiful grounds) and really refreshing after a long day's safari at udawalawe.

A peaceful experience with a stunning lake view. The evenings are especially beautiful, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy nature!

We arrived quite late, but that was no problem at all, a delicious dinner with tasty curries was already waiting for us. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the gentle sounds from outside made the stay even more relaxing. Breakfast the next morning was just as good. The hosts are a lovely, warm family, and we would recommend this place to everyone. It’s also very close to the Uda Walawe safari entrance.

The location next to the river hearing only the noises from the animals was perfect to calm down. The staff was very friendly and especially the guys who took us on the safari were doing an amazing job. They always took the best route and guided us to wonderful places with many elephants. The breakfast offers a good variety with fresh fruits and dishes. Even an egg station where you can choose your style of eggs. The Menz for dinner is huge with lots of different options. Make sure you try the Kottawatta special plate 👍🏻
