Good environment At night you can various animals sound because this is thick ungle area. Early morning you can vast typeof birds and their songs specially peacock. Beautiful hotel with spacious, modern and clean rooms. The bathroom was perfect en the bed very comfortable. Lovely outdoor area with amazing view of the lake. Amazing to have dinner or lunch here which was very good. You can also book a safari tour with the hotel, which we recommend!

We had such a beautiful stay at My Resort Yala. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and cared for - the staff really want to make sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. This is evident in the facilities - air con, good fans, filtered water in the room, mosquito nets (even though there weren’t many mosquitos), a fridge, a hair dryer, adapters to suit every country’s appliances. My favourite - bicycles. This allowed us to ride around town - a thoroughly enjoyable way to see the place. We did an afternoon safari and managed to see a sloth bear! Along with so many other animals - many elephants, crocodiles, deer, bird species, mongoose, jackals, goannas (probably forgetting a lot here). The leopard eluded us. My husband and I have been on safari in Africa so we thought maybe we’d be underwhelmed - but it was awesome. The pool was great for my kids. The temperature was just right. Breakfast was tasty and very generous, and the place has such a peaceful outlook over the rice fields. All of this for such good value. Thank you to all the staff for making this such a lovely stay.

The owner was very hands on. He picked us up from the junction upon arrival using his tuktuk, gave us welcome drinks, arranged the Yala safari for the next morning including food and water, showed us around the lake, and finally took us to the bus station when we left! Special thanks to you Gayan for the unmatched hospitality.

The owner is a fantastic man, he was very attentive and respectful. He helped organise transport to Yala and then from Yala, as well as our Safari. He got an excellent Safari driver, which is the key to a good Safari experience. The room was lovely, and dinners were brilliant too. The area has a lake nearby and the locals who live nearby are so welcoming and friendly. I wish we had stayed longer.

Honestly, the stay at elegant lake house was a highlight of our sri lanka trip. The host was very kind, he showed us his village and other special places. He also organized a safari trip for us in yala which was also great. We had a very experienced driver and even saw two leopards. The food is great and a combination of Sri lankan and western. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. We really enjoyed the feeding station where we could see many animals :) We warmly recommend to stay at this place!

The room was clean, no frills and value for money. Perfect for one night to visit Yala Safari. Our friendly host took us around the lake and my children got to see many wildlife right there...variety of birds, bats, buffaloes and even a crocodile. They arranged the safari for us too with an experienced driver and provided us packed breakfast and fruits for the trip. Overall a good experience
