A wonderful place that was so calm and relaxing! The venue was amazing, the pools breathtaking and the personell was so kind and helpful. The stairs was no problem at all, and the personell always made sure you could take the elevator if you wanted to!

The staff at the nine are incredible, every single person we met. I wish we had asked for more names, but every single person was AMAZING. So caring and attentive. Myself and my partner Haran, will be back and we will bring our Family and Friends. The location is amazing, the staff amazing, the food amazing. This place deserves the success it will get because everyone works so hard to make it special. We had regular sightings of Monkeys and Peacocks which just made it more special. Well done guys on such an amazing place and for giving us such special memories, see you next year!

The most beautiful accommodation in Sri Lanka. Large, spacious, extremely clean room with comfortable beds and soft pillows, clean cotton linen. Spacious bathroom, hot water, pressure shower. The breakfast was delicious, every morning they prepared a different dish for us. Fresh fruit, fruit drinks and bottled water at your discretion. Close to the beach and outstanding and the staff was very very kind. And the yard is nicely landscaped, with very well-kept exotic plants. we had a spacious terrace. Bonus, there were the monkeys that every morning came on the fence of the yard or on the roof. They were adorable and not aggressive at all. We were also able to use the washing machine and the property has a large space for drying clothes. This was very important for us. The internet works very very well. I highly recommend this property and would come back anytime.

The owners were very nice. They gave special attention to our dietary requirements i.e. indian vegetarian food. Also, they helped me arrange for taxi at very competitive rate. The support staff was also excellent and always smiling. The breakfast was exquisite. One must try their srilankan options rather than just the English breakfast. The location is great as well.

This was probably the best place to stay in the entire Srí Lanka. The room was quite big with a balcony and stunning sunset views and garden. I really appreciate multiple sockets as in some other places I have encountered only one socket, which was really bad to charge multiple electronic devices. The location is perfect, it's close to the beach and town center. The hospitality of the owner was amazing. She brought me 2 bottles of water and a welcome drink. I will miss those breakfasts so much. I recommend staying in this place so bad that I wish to come back.

It had a private beach and the view was spectacular! Lots of activities could also be organised from the resort. If you’re a skilled swimmer, you could go snorkelling on your own for free! Also the sunset watching experience was great! Also the food is really good at this resort’s restaurant!

One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka, great value for money, super helpful staff, big rooms including a big ensuite with plenty of hot water. They offer laundry service too. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night, would highly recommend.

We switched here after staying at another hotel and we were so pleasantly surprised. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome, were given early check in. My favorite spot was definitely the beachfront area right in front of Paradise Beach Club – calm waves, golden sand, and perfect sunsets. I also loved Coconut Hill, just a short walk away, with its panoramic view of the ocean and palm trees. Where I Ate- Most of my meals were at the Paradise Beach Club restaurant, which offered delicious Sri Lankan curries, fresh seafood, and good international choices. For variety, Mirissa has some great little cafés and beach shacks nearby – I especially liked the fresh juices and seafood BBQs along the beach. Mum's Kitchen, Big Belly & All you can eat were equally good. Mirissa is very easy to get around. Most places are within walking distance if you’re staying near the beach. For slightly farther spots like Weligama or Galle, tuk-tuks are everywhere and quite affordable. we booked our car for the entire trip. things to do- Whale watching tours Sunset at Coconut Hill Beach hopping Surfing

Mirissa is a popular tourist destination, and one where tourism income trumps everything else - usually at the expense of the environment. So, if you’re looking for an idyllic escape to a pristine, tropical paradise, you’ll need to lower your expectations quite a bit. Unfortunately, the businesses lining the beachfront have been allowed to attempt to artificially hold back the sea, by building awful sea walls, sandbagging, etc. This has resulted in far less beach than there would naturally be. The other inescapable truth is that it’s quite polluted - mainly with discarded plastics (bottles, drinking straws, bags, etc.) and other rubbish. It really is heartbreaking to see, and it’s everywhere. Picking up a few bags of it everyday on my walks didn’t even make a dent! (This problem isn’t limited to Mirissa, by the way. It’s everywhere in Sri Lanka. Substantial regulatory change and investment in education are needed - now!) As a visitor, do your part and at least set a good example by not discarding your rubbish. On the plus side, the people are very friendly and welcoming, and there are quite a few great places to eat and enjoy a cold drink. I found the better restaurants on the main road rather than the beach. There are also plenty of lovely, small, family-run restaurants throughout the back streets that are worth seeking out.

I spent one night at a Coastal Villa in Mirissa, and it was one of my best experiences in Sri Lanka. The villa is situated in a calm and quiet area, yet it is within walking distance to both the town and the beach. The rooms are spacious, and the beds were clean and comfortable. The air conditioner functioned well during the extremely hot weather, and the staff were very helpful. Initially, we did not book the room with a meal included, but the staff were accommodating and provided a variety of delicious Sri Lankan dishes on short notice. I decided to extend my stay, and the villa staff easily fulfilled my request. I recommend Coastal Villa to anyone seeking a place to stay in Mirissa.

Mirissa was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Beautiful beaches, amazing sunsets, and a laid-back vibe but also plenty to explore, like whale watching and surfing. A great place to slow down and enjoy Sri Lanka’s south coast.

Mirissa is an over rated tourist destination. Overdeveloped with too many motels crammed into a small area and crowded beach ruin the setting. More popular with younger party generation rather than relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay in the family room at this hotel in Mirissa. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, and there's always a tuk tuk nearby if you need one. The room was modern, clean, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The manager went above and beyond to help us arrange a whale-watching trip and a taxi at a fair price. Overall, excellent value for money—highly recommended!

We had a lovely time by Hiran and his family. A beautifull hotel with a big clean room and terras, close by shops and beach. Near by Coconut tree hill, Parrot Rock and Secret beach. Hiran was very helpful. He and his family were all very kind. We would definitely recommend this hotel in Mirissa.
