We had beautiful stay at this amazing place. Personal was always here and helpful, arranged for us tuktuk and bird watching tour. The room was amazing, clean, spacious, comfortable, we were upgraded for free. Ever day nice breakfast- different options available. Long Beach with palms and minimum people. If you get behind the waves, you can swim there. But best for long walks. Few beach restaurants nearby with fresh fish. Calm and peaceful, ideal if you want to get away from the crowds and just spend time with the sea and yourself.

I loved the warm and welcoming host, the daily changing and tasty food, the excellent Wi-Fi, and how clean everything was. It was very easy to feel comfortable and relaxed — definitely my favorite stay in Sri Lanka!

Everything about this stay was exeptional from the comfort of the room to the quality of the breakfast and the cleanliness was brilliant. This was topped off by having the perfect host/owner. If you are visiting tangalle this place is a MUST to stay. I CANNOT reccoment enough. We would stay here again in a breath

The owner is very welcoming, always willing to help, the accommodation is very close to the ocean, you can bathe and swim. For us it was the best accommodation in SriLanka. The owner's son helped us get to the bus, free of charge, and stayed with us until we boarded.

I had a fantastic experience at Lagoon Gate Tangalle Resort! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks and friendly smiles, setting a positive tone for our stay. The spacious and clean rooms offered stunning lagoon views, and the staff was consistently helpful and attentive. The massage services were exceptional; . Breakfast was another highlight, featuring a delicious variety of options. This hotel is perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful and truly relaxing place.

Omia was the highlight of our trip along the Southern coast of Sri Lanka. It is a luxurious gem in a beautiful calm area - we liked it so much after our first stay that we changed our travel plans to go back and stay again! The layout of the grounds is wonderfully designed, with each guest cabin nestled in greenery, an open restaurant and chill out area with a view of the sea, hammocks dotted around, a great swimming pool and a short path leading directly to a very empty and beautiful beach. They have also taken a lot of care of the garden which is bursting with all sorts of bushes, flowers and trees (from which we got fresh coconuts every day!). The rooms themselves are also fantastic - very spacious, clean with a warm design. We took a sea view cabin and spent hours on the balcony enjoying the spectacular view. I also have to give a special mention to the chefs as the food was really great quality at a good price. I would definitely recommend thé Sri Lankan curry! Another very nice touch was the daily cakes (coconut, lemon, chocolate) which they made fresh nearly every day and served with ice cream. However, the thing that makes this place stand out the most is the people, the Omia team were a pleasure to be with. Everyone was friendly, helpful and made sure you started and ended everyday with a smile and a laugh. A big thank you to everyone at Omia for such a wonderful experience and we will be back!
