If you want to feel really welcome and cared for, this is the place to stay for few dayes! 😍 Such a beautifull spot in the middle of the mountains right on Pekoe trail, the house is nicely designed full of light and the view is truly remarcable. Just having tea in the morning and see the fog sitting on the hills is experience by itself. The owner and the lady who works here are super ephatic and good hearted, genuinely interested about your needs. They made me feel like visiting family in here. The owner also speaks very good english and he is super intelignet, I loved the conversationes with him. The best place I have been to in Sri Lanka mountains so far. ❤️

What a beautiful gem! We were cancelled last minute by another accommodation, so we found this by accident... and we couldn't have been more happy! The view was incredible and you really have a whole big area at the very top of access to the mountain and beautifully manicured lawn to yourself to admire the huge valley and dam below. The owner was incredibly kind to let us come without much time to prepare. His generosity extends further, he has made the initiative to allow food orders (done through an online app!) that is made by a single mother of two. The meals are delicious and very fairly priced. The accomodation itself is very neat, clean and comfortable. Everything works and great care has been taken to keep it in good condition. Had we known, we would have most certainly stayed longer because it's not just bare minimum self-catering, rather the care of providing all sorts of cooking accompaniments like oil and spices, labeling all the cupboards so that things are easy to find, a large fridge/freezer and all amenities you would need including a BBQ are provided. You could quite possibly just spend a week up there all to yourself. It's situated next to the second half of the 3rd stage of the Pekoe trail, so we walked some of it in reverse in the morning. We were welcome to walk anywhere, so this walk in particular we were delighted with the sights of tea plantations and beautiful forests we got to experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone walking the Pekoe trail! What a dream, we only wish we had more time to stay. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality.

The house and the views on tea plantation are wonderful, the furniture and the decor are incredibly authentic! Everything is very clean and the place is comfortable. We appreciated the chance to chill and relax in the living room with a cup of tea kindly offered by the staff. The whole staff (from the manager to the chef) are extremely friendly and kind, they spolied us with free tea, coffee and delicious meals. I would definitely recommend staying there if you are going to visit nuwara Eliya area.

What an incredible experience we had at Lavender house. The welcoming staff were attentive but unobtrusive & our private butler went above and beyond and always had a refreshing cold drink at hand. Thanks Viduna! The meticulous grounds surrounded by breathtaking views & all the local wildlife was wonderful. Loved the fresh flowers in our room. The passionate chefs surprised us daily with quality & great attention to detail. Loved our private cooking class! This place will hold a special place in our hearts.

We stayed at Thuruliya Hotel for one night and loved it. The hotel has incredible views, and we enjoyed seeing the waterfalls and tea fields on the way from Nanu Oya station. The staff were very kind, and the restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes.

Due to our tight schedule, we could only book one night, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The place is simply amazing — the hosts are very friendly, helpful, and always available when you need them. The food is perfect, and there’s a nice variety of beverages. The room is clean and tidy, and the view… we just couldn’t get enough of it! It might be a bit far from a big city, but it’s absolutely worth staying here.

Prosper, our host, is a very special person and really made...

Prosper, our host, is a very special person and really made this home stay very special. The view was spectacular and the tea factory tour was well worth a visit. It is an old plantation which still uses traditional methods. We had a free tour which included tea tasting and picking the leaves. You need to go out to eat so we went to Tea Bush Hotel which was about 2km away. We took Prosper too 😀
