loved everything!!! one of our favorite stays (if not the favorite!) in sri lanka in 3 weeks! 1. the hotel is new, the rooms are pleasant and clean. we had everything needed. it’s close to the beach and to some very good restaurants. there’s also a supermarket in the walking distance. 2. Vasee, David and the team were amazing! genuinely helpful and professional. they made our stay very enjoyable! 3. the breakfasts were delicious! we didn’t want to leave…!

Very beautiful bungalow, the room is big, clean and new. There is a big garden very well cared for. Breakfast and dinner are tasty, and they have been served on the tables in the garden which was very nice and cozy. There is a beach immediately on the left, near a cemetery, empty, and very beautiful. They have their own sunbeds for the guests. It was really beautiful to see the sunset and sunrise from there. For the next visitors: if you come to these beautiful parts, unfortunately the dogs situation in Trincomalee is quite sad. Please, bring some food with you. Next to the hotel there are two sweet dogs that would love some cuddles and food.

We initially booked this place for 3 nights, but ended up staying 6 — and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision! The accommodation was absolutely perfect: very clean, the beds are super comfortable, and located in a peaceful setting and a 5min walk to the beach. A special thank you to Priyantha, our host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! He was always kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. His warm hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel right at home. If you're looking for a place that’s clean, relaxing, and hosted by someone who genuinely cares about your stay, this is it. We would gladly come back anytime. Highly recommended!

White Villa is located on a quiet street with Uppaveli beach and restaurants just a few minutes walk away. I was made to feel completely at home. Habi, checked me and couldn’t do enough to help. All the staff were so kind and helpful, it really made my stay special. The owner is a lovely man who will be able to assist with any activities and travel arrangements. The rooms was bright and airy with an air con and fan that worked well. Comfy mattress and pillows! There is a cafe/restaurant downstairs which they were starting up again for the season and the food I tried was very tasty. I would definitely come back to this little haven.

Elena made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and clean. It had great a/c and a ceiling fan. Lovely towels both for the room and the beach. Even a beach bag which was handy. We had breakfast once and it was delicious, I'd recommend the porridge. At the beach restaurant at the bottom of the lane we were able to use the sunbeds free of charge. We also ate there. The food was good and service friendly and professional.

This location was absolutely beautiful.

This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

I went to Trincomalee for a family occasion, so I didnt have so much time to explore the area. I found a lovely beach not far away from J7 Villaj Resort and I got the imperssion, there are not so many tourist in the area. There is a lot of activities around Trincomalee, if you like wateractivities, you find them on internet, what to do in Trincomalee...... There are local restaurants serving fresh seafood - from sea daily. Its easy to find a tuktuk or use the app pickme (works in all Sri Lanka). I wish I had more time in Trincomalee after I found the beach, but for sure I will go back and stay there for a longer period. Just take the night train from Colombo (from 11 Eur - first class) or reverse. Its a good place to relax and finish your trip after exploring historical places Sri Lanka.

Visited Fort Fredrick, The navel base and the town. Deer park in town is a lovely place to come really close to lots of deer in an open setting and feed them too! Free to enter just bought some feed to make friends with the deer!

I wanted to go to Trincomalee for personal reasons but also...

I wanted to go to Trincomalee for personal reasons but also because the beach and the hotel looked good. If you want only a beach holiday, then it’s great but if you want to sightsee, you might enjoy central Sri Lanka a bit more. We loved the chance to see a local community. We enjoyed the hotel, so could have stayed a night or two longer but we like Sri Lanka for its rich history and sight seeing opportunities too.

Pearl oceanic resort is really a pearl, it is a small ressort with sea view bedroom, people their are super nice and make you feel the best, the beach is absolutly beautiful and you feel alone on it. Same for the swimming pool, sometime you feel like it is your personal one. It is not very recent but doesn't matter, my favorite hotel in sri lanka so far !

The wonderful hotel staff because they were very nice, specially with my child, he loved them all. The shower had nice pressure and was warm enough, rooms were clean and ac was working perfectly. The location was quite close to the beach and restaurants. If I was coming again to Trincomalee I would repeat in this place.
