Staying at Ceylon Resort Wilpattu was like being welcomed into a family. From the moment we arrived, the owners and staff made us feel right at home. The warm, familial atmosphere was truly one of the highlights of our stay. To our surprise and delight, we were even given an upgrade for our accommodation, which added an extra touch of luxury to our stay. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and perfectly designed to blend comfort with the natural beauty of the surroundings. A special mention goes to the Roshan's wife, whose cooking was absolutely phenomenal. Every meal was a feast of authentic Sri Lankan flavors, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and an extra touch of love. Dining at the resort felt like sharing a meal with family, and it was easily some of the best food we had during our entire trip. The service was beyond outstanding. The team went above and beyond to ensure every guest had an unforgettable experience. Whether it was arranging our safari to Wilpattu National Park, providing insightful tips about the area, or simply checking in to make sure we were comfortable, their attention to detail and genuine care were unmatched. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, exceptional hospitality, the surprise upgrade, and world-class cuisine made this stay truly special. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax, connect with nature, and feel genuinely cared for, Ceylon Resort Wilpattu is the perfect choice. Getting to Ceylon Wilpattu safaris & lodging feels like entering the forest: the road is a bit narrow and bumpy, but when you get to the entrance you discover a very well-kept garden and very pleasant facilities. The warm welcome from Roshan, his wife and the staff was truly pleasant: they supported our requests promptly and kindly. We had dinner at the property, hosted in a cool veranda. The food had been adapted to Western tastes but always maintaining the typical flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine: excellent dinner. Breakfast was also rich and pleasant. The rooms are in bungalows in which rest is ensured by spotty clean and reasonably spacious rooms, immersed in a very quiet and pleasant place. Complimentary water bottles are also available in the fridge in the room. This property is highly recommended.

This place was such a lovely surprise. We booked here last minute after a problem with our other accommodation. We were so well looked after, it felt like we were in our own private villa. Ajit was particularly amazing. He made sure we had everything we needed at all times. The room itself was really cool. Very comfortable and clean with an amazing outside bathroom with a view of the trees. We had dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Both meals were excellent. They were huge - so much food! Everything was so tasty. The location is great. Right by the entrance to the park and in the middle of some fields. It was a very tranquil setting. The lodge also arranged our safari into Wilpattu and a driver to our next destination. This hotel is highly recommended.

The property is ideally located just a few minutes away from the Wilpattu Park.. The amount of ground this property covers gives you ample space for kids to enjoy themselves as well. The staff were a great and made us feel at home. The rooms were kept clean and comfortable. Thank you to the Kay Jay Wild and the staff there for making our stay a special one. We will be back!
