The staff was super friendly and hospitable, and the room I stayed in was very pleasant and comfortable. I had both lunch and dinner in the restaurant, and the food was great. I especially recommend the BBQ ribs.

We loved everything about the property. Location is spectacular, house is super cozy and well equipped, hosts are super responsive and attentive. It was very calm, relaxing holidays, we had a feeling like we are somewhere far away in Finland behind arctic circle- winter farytale. Electric hot tube is a nice touch because you don't need to control heating yourself.

Cozy and clean apartments on the outskirts of the town, in a very quiet place, so you can sleep peacefully at night with an open window. The lock is coded, so it's easy to get in. You will find everything you need for a short stay. Personal mobile internet was not getting a connection, so Wifi was very useful. There is a shop in the building next door. Lots of parking spaces. Nearby there is a beach by the river Gauja, a ferry across the river, and walking trails both along Gauja and along Lygatne river with picturesque surroundings. It is a great place for those who like to hike.

Beautiful setting alongside a National park with lots of history things to see and walking the forest trails There are cafés/restaurants close by that will self you wonderful food and a very reasonable cost. If you appreciate the outdoors this is one for you 🙂

Beautiful, picturesque place.

Beautiful, picturesque place. Stunning nature, forest parks, nature trails. We visit the Lygatnes rocks and the Lygatnes nature trail. It is a pity that the tourist information center was not open. I was hoping that they would advise me on more attractions.

It's like Latvian Twin Peaks.

It's like Latvian Twin Peaks. Take your time to wander around, up and down, all these wooden pathways and roads. I especially like to walk in Līgatne during the dark hours. Very mystic and inspirational.

Ligatne is a cute and peaceful village.

Ligatne is a cute and peaceful village. Wonderfully peaceful and green! We spent three days walking around the village, swimming in the river (nice beach). We did trips to Turaida Castle and Ligatne nature trails.

A beautiful, hospitable, natural city with a fascinating...

A beautiful, hospitable, natural city with a fascinating story. We recommend listening to it while enjoying a trip on the Retro Tour with "Latvia" and I will definitely recommend the slate, which will learn to tell the story of Līgatne in an interesting way 🥰 We also recommend enjoying the Līgatne wine tasting, which is also accompanied by interesting stories, not to mention the place - the tasting takes place in a cave, by candlelight.

The town is very interesting.

The town is very interesting. The town itself has many beautiful places and views, so it's best to explore on foot. There are plenty of hiking spots in the surrounding area. The Gauja River is very beautiful nearby, with picturesque cliffs and banks. It's the most popular river in Latvia for water tourism.

The cottage is simply beautiful inside and outside. Located on top of a hill in a lovely settlement of similar cottages it boasts a gorgeous garden and a very cosy interior. Furthermore you can embark on scenic walks around Ligatne directly from the cottage. The quaint towns of Sigulda and Cēsis are not far away and there a many stunning hikes to choose from in the Gauja NP. We enjoyed returning to the cottage in the evening and to relax under the apple tree - we can highly recommend this accommodation.

Nice and very clean apartment in Ligatne. Newly renovated, has well equipped kitchen. We spent there one night in December. Check in was easy, just read instructions carefully to find the right apartment (the number may be not very visible at dark).

Amazing to stay there. We had a room that was simpler. The service was very good and the location was great. If you stay at this hotel you were having a chance to watch the events that were in Zeit.
