The property is conveniently located 50m from a bus station, in a smaller town, with buses running every 10-15 minutes, wherefrom you can easily get to Valetta or other cities within 15-30 minutes bus ride. There are some pastry shops (recommended) as well as convenience stores and restaurants at walking distance. The property seems newly renovated, with exquisite style, preserving the traditional character of the building with some modern touches - it's a gem already at the entrance, with a small internal yard where food is served and a spacious rooftop terrace. The rooms were very spacious and impeccably clean, offering more value for money than expected or as compared to more centrally located properties. The host Marion was very pleasant and welcoming from the start - she waited for our arrival after a late night flight, prepared us a lovely breakfast and offered advice for getting around Malta and suggested sights to visit relevant to our preferences. Overall, great experience and highly recommended.

I and my family needed the place near the airport to survive the flight cancellation. They made our room ready before official time 12 instead of normal 14. We had to leave next morning very early. Therefore, I don't know about the quality of the breakfast, but, I can tell that they assembled nice "early leaver package" for us. They also organised a cheap eCab taxi to the airport (6,5€) . From ordinary tourist point of view - the Sea was just some bus stops away, so we enjoyed a sandy beach (Il-Bajja s-Sabiha) and about 20C swimming water (in beginning of December) in Marsaxlokk.

a very charming little hotel, in a lovely renovated traditional house. I like the furniture, decorations and overall colour scheme, and loved my room with its private little roof terrace. The location is ideal, in a quiet street off the busy waterfront promenade, but just a few steps to get there. Easy walking distance to restaurants, bus stops or Valletta ferry. delicious breakfast. And all the staff is so very friendly and helpful!!

We absolutely loved staying in this hotel. The location was amazing. So close to everything, while being quiet. The hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. On arrival, we were gifted vouchers for the spa which was a lovely touch! The spa is very relaxing, as is the entire hotel. There was a large selection of options for breakfast. We particularly liked that the hotel offered a Maltese section in additional to all the other breakfast options. This gave us the chance to try traditional foods every morning of our stay! Even in February, the rooftop pool was lovely, as it was heated. On one evening, we watched the canons being fired at the upper Barrakka Gardens, from the rooftop with amazing views. If returning to Valletta, it would be hard to stay anywhere but this hotel.

Tarxien is a town with hardly any dining, food shopping...

Tarxien is a town with hardly any dining, food shopping facilities, but with good direct bus connections to Valletta and Marsaxlokk. It is not touristic and therefore very quiet, but still has buildings in typical old Maltese style here and there, Highlight is the Tarxien neolithic temple, not much visited it would appear, but excellent. (I had the site virtually for myself). A lot of the original finds are now in the Archaeological Museum in Valletta, with the site providing copies and the context. The hypogeum is also not far away.

Great location to be based in for all island.

Great location to be based in for all island. Out of busy Valetta but easy access to Valetta and three cities etc. and uber ok price to north of island, bus back worked well. Check out the best pizza (and Italian food) in Valetta at I PUPI.

close to ancient temples and Hypogeum - so easy to visit. Lots of buses go through Tarxien between Valletta and mainly places to the South. However, the buses proved to be much less frequent than advertised, so hiring a car may be essential.

A mixture of village and town, extremely quiet, almost deserted by night ( at least where we stayed), which gives you the possibility of nice walks and sightseeing without being disturbed by noisy crowds. Very well connected to Valletta and other areas, close to the airport. In fact, there are a lot of places around Tarxien where you can get by foot. It gave me the feeling of being stuck in time and I totally adored it and the vibes that not only Tarxien, but entire Malta gives you. I would come back any time - in fact I am already planning a longer trip there. Simply amazing!

Tarxien is a quiet district located about 3 km from the airport. There's no hustle and bustle, noise, or other sounds that would disturb your rest. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the shops and about 10 minutes from the district center. It has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Very nice place, with interesting history and interesting excavations. We liked the proximity to the airport. There are lots of shops and restaurants. No need to rent a car. The bus runs here at very short intervals.

The location of the place is surprisingly good as I did not expect that nice of a place in Tarxien. Really good for a relaxing time as there aren't any distractions. Great for discovering the southern part of Malta. The place is amazingly designed, with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Highlight of the place for me was the environment, how the old contrasts with the new, and having a relaxing hot bath.

The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good, coffee machine is available all day. The host Jeffrey is really nice and helpful. Location is ok, close to bus stops from where you can reach Valletta in 15-20 min. Tarxien temple and Half Saflieni Hypogeum are just a short walk away.
