Highly recommended. New, modern, furnished with love. We had personal warm welcome, owner was very friendly and nice, responded quickly when we needed something. We had car, so for us location was really good, close to beaches, hills, national park, activities, supermarke, etc. I would book it again.

From the booking to the day we checked in everything was nicely handled. The host has been very helpful in guiding us through the process. The apartment is simply wonderful, well equipped and very clean. We literally didn't lack anything. And it is perfectly located which made it easier to get to the nearby facilities. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

Amazing, clean apartment with everything you need, not only to spend some time on holiday, but to live long term! It's like at home. Well equipped kitchen (kettle, stove, toaster, microwave, fridge, all the pots and plates and mugs, cups etc...) plus a lot of space (separate bedroom, living room (with small sofa) connected to kitchen, big bathroom with hot water, well washed towels, iron... Plus a big terrace with a beautiful view on the mountains. Birds flying around... The whole place was just perfectly clean. Zero mold, no dust, smells fresh. The bed, duvet and linen just fantastic! It's really close to the small mall (well stocked up supermarket, café and couple shops with clothes). The Wi-Fi was working real good. And the owner, Aneeshia, was really nice and helpful. 100% recommend!

Fantastic view to the see and Le Morne. We stay at the top of the building. The terrace are gorgeous and the flat with a good kitchen is big and bathroom as well. Is not on the beach for swimming but for boats and kayaks. The sunset is a dream. Good parking inside the plot. Alexandro was very kind with us and help with the luggage.

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more...

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly.

La Gaulette does not have a beach and the sea there is ugly. Le Morne (which is very close) is the only place nearby with a nice beach, but it is widely occupied by luxury hotels. another problem with La Gaulette is that it is not usable as a base for visiting Mauritius, becasue is far away from all main attractions except 7 color earth and Black River falls.

An ideal place to visit La Morne and surrounding areas without the crowds. Nearby supermarket for groceries and restaurants. We had a car which made travelling around easier and i would reccommend getting one when coming to Mauritius as you see so much more

Close to Le Morne and other attractions and places worth...

Close to Le Morne and other attractions and places worth visiting, 90 min drive to Port Louis. Island is a paradise for botanical enthusiasts, hikers, climbers, fans of all sorts of water sports and beautiful reef fish, encounters with whales, dolphins etc.very friendly lovely locals and I felt very safe at all times, safer than in European many places. Please do book with local people, not all inclusive international resorts without local feel.

The clear water at the beach was exelent. The clearest seewater I have seen on the hole island! The surounding with the mountains are great. The beach is clean. No waist is liing around. Kite surfing ist also the place to be! Restaurant Chalets Chamarel has a great view. Hard to find. Food to expensive and not good!!

not a typical tourist destination. However, great spot for trips and quiet place to chill before trips around the island - which is pretty easy to travel around. Great choice for families and backpackers like myself

It’s very nicely fitted with clean tiles and a well equipped kitchen! The property is about five minutes walk from the main high street going through La Gaulette, where there are few restaurants and an excellent fruit stand! Our host Ayesha was very helpful with recommendations via WhatsApp so we weren’t short of things to do! All together a nice if not a bit short stay!

Super nice and clean (made up every 3 days) appartment perfectly situated for activities near Le Morne or the southeast of Mauritius in general. Josh and his familiy are very helpful and there is a convenience store just 150 m along the road where you can get fresh baguette in the morning when you preorder it.

We absolutely loved everything about our stay in this gorgeous flat in La Gaulette, the hosts were really friendly and helpful and the flat was very comfortable with lots of space and tastefully furnished. Couldn’t have asked for more and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks again for everything!!!

The location is very good to discover the south west of Mauritius. The studio is very big for two people and provided everything we needed. If something was missing we sent a text to the host and got everything provided within a couple of hours.

The apartment is very well thought, having lots of space and all necessary amnisties. It’s a short walking distance of a big supermarket and the center of La Gaulette where several restaurant are placed. The host was super friendly and helpful.
