The friendliness of the whole staff, including the guides of snorkeltrips and restaurants. Mr Tiger was very helpful and arrange trips, birthdaysurprises etc. The room was very spacious, clean and has a perfect view on the beach. Breakfast was good, diner in restaurants delicious. We had a lot of fun during our watersports (snorkeltrips) with the funny but also helpfull staff. Kaani Grand seaview was in a perfect spot, directly in front of lovely bikinibeach and shops. Absolutely recommendable!!!

Our stay at Arena Beach Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for. They were always attentive, friendly, and willing to assist with anything we needed, whether it was arranging excursions or offering local recommendations. The location of the hotel is unbeatable – right on the beach, offering stunning views and easy access to the best spots on the island. The rooftop pool and sun deck were perfect for relaxing, and the hotel’s private beach area was pristine and well-maintained. The rooms were spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The restaurant offered a great variety of delicious dishes, and the daily breakfast buffet was a highlight of our mornings. We genuinely believe Arena Beach Hotel is the best hotel on Maafushi, not just for its prime location but for the warmth and professionalism of the staff. We can’t thank them enough for making our stay so memorable. Without a doubt, we’ll be back again – this hotel feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the Maldives!

A "boutique" hotel, perfectly located on the lower edge of the touristy part of the island. 2 minutes to bikini beach in the north, 5 to the restaurants etc. in the south. The staff were extremely helpful in pointing us in the best direction for meals, trips and general information. For diving, Maafushi Dive is next door, and for other trips we/they recommend Maldives Fellas or Shadowpalm. For meals, the nearby Velana beach was a significant cut above the rest (and we tried many) and Moonlight for drinks at the southern end is wonderful. Our room was right under the rooftop restaurant yet even being high season, noise was no issue at any time (which was my main concern based on some reviews). The room was always cleaned and fresh towels and water provided when requested. An excellent evening of chilled live music was a first for them while we were staying and very successful. Overall superb, and we'd definitely stay again.

Everyone who chose to stay in the hotel must not that it os not a five star hotel but it is a simple hotel who provides a very nice staying. Our staying was very pleasant. Rooms are spacious and very well air conditioned. Staff is great and polite. Everyday we had a simple breakfast but sufficient enough to start our day (plus very nice coffee)! Check in was very easy and at the check out they kept our luggages for some hours. My only recommendation is some short maintenance work to be made inside and outside the building and the hotel would be flawless. I would really choose staying again when I get next time to the lovely maafushi!

I liked the location. Mr. Mahadi is the best ever. he helped me with everything I needed. such a professional and great person. he definetly deserves a promotion. the room was clean, with TV and small friedge, air conditioning and fan. Honest pricing. I wlll surely come back.

There are plenty of water activities and options to choose from. The people are very friendly, and I felt extremely safe throughout my stay. The only downside is that evenings are very quiet, with limited nightlife or entertainment.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Beach was very good.

Beach was very good. There are many places in this world to visit which is very comfortable regarding expense, travel and stay. In Mafushi everything including food, trip, hotel stay is unnecessarily expensive. I think its expensive more in the world. Green Tax is somehow sky high. 6 dollar per person per day other than usual tax and room rent. During journey by speed boat gambling is common here. Oreedo Network is another gambler starts with 40 dollar for 10 days for the tourists. Impossible expense. But cannot run your streamline, any you tube video in mafushi. Only text and call. I would recommend rather Phuket, Thailand. I would further recommend Langkawi, Malaysia.

Great spot for getting to know the other side of the Maldives. We stayed in Maafushi for 5 nights as part of a 10 day trip to the Maldives and took the opportunity to do various boat trips. Bikini beach is lovely, warm waters and pretty chilled. Food was ok in general, but we weren't really looking for anything fancy. We went one evening to the bar boat (we were hoping to catch the sunset, but it was closed until 7pm due to Ramadan) and it was an interesting experience.

Maafushi is a great place to visit in the Maldives on a mid-level budget. As one of the first inhabited islands to open for tourism, it's very well-equipped to handle all tourist needs (accommodations, restaurants, excursions). Keep in mind that there's no alcohol on the island, but there's a party boat anchored just off shore where alcohol is served to tourists (or so we were told).

Maafushi is a beautiful island and Triton hotel is great too. The pool and view from is lush, short walk to all the beaches and restaurants. breakfast you can get fresh omelettes which was good enough for me (other options too). and the room service food is really reasonable and also yummy. clean and tidy room, good aircon, peaceful. Good priced transfer to and from Male, ran on time. We loved it in maafushi.

We enjoyed our stay in oceana , the staff were very kind and helpful and very welcoming iqbal at the reception helped us arrange all the activities we wanted with great prices andall was perfect the entire atmosphere was cozy, the hotel location is in a quiet area were you will enjoy and relax and the island itself is very beautiful. So, thanks a lot for a great vacation guys.

Mano the best receptionist! He has been super attentive and kind to us all the time. Thank you! He made it easy for us to get from Male to Maafushi Island by boat. The other staff were also very nice and help!! The hotel has the best location on the island and the rooms were very confortable and included everything. We would definitely stay at the same hotel again

Staff was really friendly and helpful. The yard and restaurant were so beautiful. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Location is excellent, close to the bikini beach. Also, the hotel is a part of the Triton hotels so we could go to white party or have dinner at Triton Prestige hotel for free.

SURRISE BEACH HOTEL is located on the MAAFUSHI island and it makes it easy to access the markets and connect with the locals. I liked it when we could visit other hotels around in the island and felt welcomed as the coordination with every hotels in MAAFUSHI Island were excellent.
