Road was all dug up out front. Omar the owner was great. We said the construction situation was unacceptable, as we needed secure parking and couldn't enter the property. He gave us cash back to cover the amount he was receiving. We ended up driving to Los Mochis and found a hotel to stay in there. The midges, no- see-ums were terrible in El Fuerte. Never had so many bites. Not on the top of my list of Pueblos Magicos. I have visited 36 out of 134 of them.

The decor was unique. It is a beautiful hotel.
Nice staff. Clean,spacious and comfortable room with decent AC (very necessary at the time). Close to centre and the river for walks.

Just a beautiful hotel with a great bar and lovely grounds. Location can't be better. They even picked us up from the train station with a bus for no additional charge.

The hotel is nice and close to the Centro. It has a nice garden in the courtyard.
