The room was spacious, especially for one person. Although it was stuffy and warm and the bathroom had a strong smell of chlorine when I first entered, the air conditioning worked very well to cool and ventilate the room. The hotel provided towels, soap, and toilet paper. I also received good recommendations and information about the city and transportation when I asked.

Beautiful discovery arriving at this hotel! The room was very pretty, cozy, well decorated and clean. one of the nicest room we’ve had during our trip. The owners were very sweet and friendly. They offered to drive us to the train station, for a small fee, allowing us to avoid more expensive taxi.

Very beautiful - great location - so much to see and do
Staff were fantastic and friendly - room was gorgeous
We did the river boat tour through the hotel and it was fantastic - so many birds
El Fuerte is a beautiful heritage town - definitely visit and stay at Hotel Posada Del Hidalgo

This is a beautiful hotel. The colours, the decor, the style, it was really nice to come back to.
It is a little older but had everything I needed and was great for the price.
