Navojoa is the best place to stay for one of the nights if...
Navojoa is the best place to stay for one of the nights if traveling between the Puerto Vallarta area and the Nogales area. (Mazatlan is the other overnight stop.) I make it a 3 day, 2 night trip between the 2. About 7.5 hour drive each day.

Navojoa is not a tourist destination; it is a typical agricultural town and not particularly attractive. We go there because it is my wife's home town so we visit family. Regarding other reviews of Hacienda Cazadores that mention road and train noise, this is true but there is NO HOTEL in Navojoa that does not suffer the same problem (after nearly 30 years of going there I know this to be true). Frankly, Cazadores has the least noise from the road and train because the walls are so thick.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It was very spacious, and clean. There was extra pillows. I really appreciated the additional security alarm for the door. If the door was not properly closed, an alarm would go off to notify you. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice Hotel just outside of Sinaloa with parking well off the road and not readily visible. Including breakfast in a nice restaurant which also served a great dinner.

It appears they have updated the landscaping & painted since I was there last year. I love this hotel.
