The rooms were beautiful and you had everything you could require! The views were spectacular! Waking up to the ocean was an absolute blessing! The bed was so comfortable, the food was outstanding - truly (and I can be fussy) - the gym well appointed, the spa beautiful and most of all the staff was exceptionally kind and friendly. As a solo traveller I felt safe and supported at every turn!

Everything at The Citadines was great, but what made it exceptional was Derek and the team he has put together. Always greated warmly at the door and throughout the hotel. Always ready to help with any request. Derek takes a personal interest in his guests. Very rarely do I meet the manager of a mid sized hotel, and if so, it is because of a problem. Derek likes to meet everyone and help make everyone's stay a memorable one. We really did love everything. Room size was good. It was clean comfortable, everything you need was provided in the kitchenette. Pool and gym well maintained. New washer and dryer on the premises. Views are spectacular both mountain side and oceanside. We had a great stay (one month, extended twice) and will be back. Thank you to everyone at The Citadines!

    Would suggest if you're looking for a quiet stay. Quite far from city. If you want authentic Penang hawker food, need to go to town , abt 45 min drive. If seafood is your thing, then it's the right place. I never miss going to Tai Tong seafood restaurant at Teluk Bahang. Reasonably priced and food is excellent. Been going there for more than 5 years, whenever we're in Penang. There's nite market at T Bahang , Monday nites.

    The breakfast selection was superb.

    The breakfast selection was superb. We mostly just stayed at the hotel because the facilities provided is splendid if you are looking for a quiet vacation to recharge yourself away from the busy city. Hotel staffs were all very accommodative to suggest good dinner place around, and we had seafood dinner at Tai Tong Seafood, which was amazingly delish! Check in process was quick and they served you iced apple juice while waiting, which was refreshing after a long drive to get there. Value for money is the highlight of Angsana. Will come again.

    - guest lift was very slow and always wet - breakfast menu was NOT like a Banyan Tree manage resort/hotel and it can be BETTER with the price that u pay for our room rate - hardly seen housekeeping staff at the public area and that make the hotel cleanness so bad
