Bergen has a nice atmosphere, a great selection of restaurants and a few pleasant shops too - far more than you would expect from a modest sized village. You did not feel like you where in a back garden of somebody house because of excellent layout. You also have private entrance out to a walking path where you in less than 2 minutes are on the main square with restaurants and shops. Could not be better.
