Kasteel Engelenburg is a historic hotel with lots of atmosphere which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious and comfortable room in what I believe were the converted stables. It had its own terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. The atmosphere is wonderful- a bit of royalty, a bit of safari, a bit of luxury, a bit of vintage charme. Not everything is perfect but this is exactly what it makes the hotel so special. Our room was in the carriage house and it was quirky and fun. The bed was wonderful. Breakfast was incredible, with an equallly stunning view. But what makes this place exceptional is the staff. We particularly enjoy sitting on the lovely terrace when we are there. We have visited twice and we certainly hope to be back again on one of our Europe roadtrips.
