This is my second time here and my good experience is consistent with the last time. Room was large, gym/fitness facilities (including a sauna) were great. Food was alright at the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was not so great. It's not worse than most chain hotels in the Netherlands though (I rarely have great breakfasts at such restaurants - the Netherlands doesn't have a huge breakfast culture, so it's not surprising). Front desk staff were great. In particular, Keilab (I probably spelt his name wrong - young guy with a gold tooth) was fantastic. He was very friendly, patient and helpful, especially for a Dutch hotel (where service isn't always so impressive in my experience). I rate him 10/10 for his service, he should get employee of the year!

Excellent location, near shopping area and restaurants - hotel also has a restaurant at the ground floor which is convenient. Very clean room, with a very comfortable bed and coffee maker. Breakfast was adequate, coffee was great.

Excellent location, mid-way between the train station and Grote Markt. It's close enough to all the activity, yet in a quite neighbourhood so you're not bothered with all the late night revelry (plenty of that!) Extremely clean rooms, standard facilities and outstanding views of Groningen (room on the 7th floor). The helpful staff are available 24*7 and are very courteous. Bicycles are available at the hotel, so that's a plus.

Beautiful, quiet location.

Beautiful, quiet location. Very friendly, professional hostess. The rooms were clean and tidy. The shared bathroom facilities were also excellent. There was a cozy living room where you could relax and watch TV. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. Good value for money.

There's not much to do in the village itself.

There's not much to do in the village itself. But behind the hotel is a beautiful lake with various activities. The area around Eelde-Paterswolde is also beautiful. The Drentse AA, Hondsrug, dolmens, botanical garden, etc.

I didn’t get the property I went to destination and i been contact with booking and they asked to find other property to book because the owner is not responding, devastating I couldn’t find hotel until 8 in evening after 5 hours waiting so I don’t think this is proper accommodation

I deffo recommend this hotel for a single night or a longer stay at Groningen - I got offered a clean and spacious room with a king size bed, free wifi and free parking. 24/7 reception, friendly staff included.
