    Kerkrade is a very nice town in the south of the Netherlands. We visited nearby places like Heerlen and Vaals and we visited the Botanic Garden in Kerkrade. Of course we needed to buy the local cake: Vlaai. Especially the Cherry Vlaai was superb!

    Good location with good access to the countryside nearby.

    Good location with good access to the countryside nearby. Several good restaurants in Kerkrade including Restaurant Felice. Two supermarkets are just 8 minutes drive away, very useful when self-catering.

    As others reviewers wrote, this is a very nice accommodation. We wanted to spend a week at the Landgraaf Snowworld and this was a very handy location. Very comfy and pleasant. If you come with kids, they will love the goats, deers and alpacas living behind the fence - it was amazing. In late February the floor tiles were indeed cooler , but the landlords give out individual new slippers (like in hotels), so that helps. But you may wish to bring your own

    Beautiful, quiet astounding location (former abbey - please don't miss out the amazing chapel!), big clean and warm rooms, nature surrounding the hotel (there was a lake/pond with farm animals!), close to the city center and 20 min on foot from the central station.

    The owner was really nice, friendly guy. The price was low, if you are looking for that, can accept that the state of this hotel is a bit outdated and don't mind the cats roaming around this rastaurant and hotel, this can be a good hotel for you.
