Very clean and modern. The food was excellent and the staff would amazing! Nothing too much trouble and even brought us some complementary local nibbles while we had some drinks in the evening. I would highly recommend.

The breakfast was amazing continental breakfast cheese eggs yogurt fresh fruit salad coffee and fresh orange juice was amazing. The room was very clean, bathroom had amazing shower complimentary soaps and shower gel. Hairdryer was good. Living area in room had a coffee maker and the balcony was fantastic enabling me to sit outside and enjoy the view of the town and church. The staff were excellent in the main they understood my mediocre Dutch and could all understand English, and were very helpful. They helped me with local bus timetable to enable me with onward travel. The Al a carte menu and the snacks were brilliant. My family have visited this hotel for many years but not in awhile. It did not disappoint! A very restful stay thank you Dineke and the family and staff

We're walking the Drenthepad, which is beautiful. The walks around Roden are wonderful. Because Roden has many facilities for food and drinks, it's a convenient place to stay overnight. It's also nice that there's a bus service.

We were looking for horses to buy, and this area is perfect for that. Such a search is intense, and Hotel Onder de Linden was a truly relaxing place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, a good base for...

The hotel is located in a quiet area, a good base for cycling. Public transport is close by, making it easy to get into the city of Groningen. The hotel was also well-equipped for its guests. Personally, we found the mattresses a bit too soft, but we slept well. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Roden is OK, but the price for the overnight stay at the...

Roden is OK, but the price for the overnight stay at the hotel under the Linden was too expensive. A shower curtain that sticks to your body isn't worth €110 a night. The breakfast was good, but it didn't make up for the shower curtain, the commotion in the hallway, and the live music until 11 p.m. We'll be looking elsewhere from now on.

The chef is sublime, and we had a wonderful meal.

The chef is sublime, and we had a wonderful meal. Beautiful flavor combinations. We think it's Michelin-star worthy. And the combination with the option of staying overnight is fantastic. The staff are very friendly.

A charming, cozy, and welcoming village with a rich history.

A charming, cozy, and welcoming village with a rich history. There's plenty to see and do to make your stay truly enjoyable. The surrounding area boasts a variety of attractions, and the city of Groningen is nearby. Roden boasts a compact town center with a variety of shops and practically all your grocery needs.

Very good little hotel. Sadly we only stayed one night, but we would have happily stayed longer. The rooms had their own airconditioning which really makes this easily one of the best places we stayed during our trip. Room was very clean and nicely furnished. Our room shared a balcony with 3 other rooms. Others didn't seem to use it so we had our breakfast there. :) Helpful and nice staff.

We deffo recommend this hotel for a single night, a longer stay or even holidays - we got offered a clean and more than spacious (family) room with 2 single beds, free wifi and free parking. 24/7 reception, friendly staff. Tea and coffee making facilities en suite made us feel very welcoming! House keeping is provided every day. We are absolutely happy with our stay and would book anytime again.

Really pleasent hotel situated in the heart of a typically Dutch small provincial town with great facilities and atmosphere. The hotel has a real family run feel focused on customer satisfaction, impeccably clean and on point in all areas, the staff were friendly, professional and engaging. We really enjoyed our two night stay and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.

Very quiet neighborhood. The room was very spacious, with a nice balcony. The bed was big and comfortable. Very friendly staff at the reception. Good hotel for families. Lots of free parking spaces available right in front of the hotel. There was a good selection of breakfast items.
