Irene and Marten take great care of their guests - they were sharing great tips and gave us some insights on the region. Also they were super helpful and gave not only us, but also our two dogs, a very warm welcome. The rooms are cosy and clean, the breakfast is amazing and you get a bag for putting together a lunch package. There‘s drinks and coffee free to grab all day without additional costs. And the place is surrounded by stunning nature, especially for bird lovers.

the hotel is very well located to take the ferry to Schiermonnikoog. the room was very comfortable, the bathroom very clean and we had a great view onto the harbor and the island we also enjoyed a great seafood dinner at their restaurant for a very reasonable price thanks

A great spot for a bike ride around Lauwersmeer, a day trip to Schiermonnikoog, and interesting stories about the history of the Hogeland region, excursions to the Wierden (terps), and beautiful old Groningen churches. Restaurants are available in Zoutkamp and Lauwersoog, but there are no restaurants in Vierhuizen.

Perfect! We used it as an overnight stay for the next day.

Perfect! We used it as an overnight stay for the next day. We were going sea fishing, and the boat was leaving at 5:00 AM, so we booked this accommodation the night before, including an overnight stay. The cottage was perfect for us, three sturdy guys. It was spacious and had everything we needed: a large kitchen, a perfect bathroom, comfortable beds, and everything was perfect. It was clean and met all our expectations.
