OMG, this place ir STUNNING! Breafast was so delicious - home made bread, jams, granola etc.! super friendly family is leading all this place 🫠 It was hard to go sleep - i wanted to watch through the window all night! From this place starts two walking trails with beautiful views!

The lodge hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels, which we ever had. The whole hotel is decorated in a country style, the rooms are renovated, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom has an up to date shower and everything is very clean. We loved the rapid stream and the noise of it, behind our window. And that it's possible to regulate the heating by ourselves. The breakfast buffet was very good and fresh served. And on top, the owner and stuff was amazingly friendly, helpful and warmhearted. We highly recommend this hotel, it felt a bit, as if we had a lodge in Canada.

Very nice old farming house. Modern and comfortable renovation by heart. All equipment (e.g of the kitchen available). Perfect veranda for relaxation. Helpful.host in case of open issues. Very quiet environment, far off the main road; fast /easy accessibility: located at the secondary road parallel to and north of the river and the main road between Bismo and Lom. The street numbers (326 Skjak solside) are indicated along this road.

We stayed here after a long day climbing in Jotunheimen NP, which is only about a 30-minute drive away. This unique hotel comprises a complex of beautiful, historic buildings within a stunning mountainous setting. You can see that a lot of effort has gone into the preservation of its history including maintaining original furnishings, the art and decor, and the historic items used there. We stayed in a restored schoolroom - it was cosy, clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed bathing in a wooden tub! The toiletries were plentiful and lovely. We paid extra for the dinner and it was absolutely divine - fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. (They also kindly accommodated my pescetarian dietary preferences!). The breakfast was also plentiful, diverse and delicious - many of the breakfast items were handmade (including the pastries and jams!), which is so rare these days. After breakfast, you were encouraged to make sandwiches to take for your lunch which was very kind. The staff were very friendly and hospitable.
