This was our favourite place on our tour around Finnmark. It was obviously an older person’s home at some point and it’s got a really cosy, homely feel. It’s much bigger than a normal holiday let with a big kitchen and a proper living room. It’s just back from the main coastal road but that road’s pretty quiet. You can look out over the shoreline in one direction and the countryside in the other. It’s not flashy or modern - just a really nice place to be.

Sauna on the arctic sea was amazing. We had the 2nd level 2 rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids which was perfect as we had the whole level (including a small living area) for ourselves.

The owner was extremely friendly and made our stay super personable. He was kind enough to keep the pub open for us so that we were able to eat, and told interesting things about the history of Pykeija! The house super clean and cozy. Beds were so comfortable that it was a challenge to get out in the morning. Can't recommend enough!
