We liked everything Matakauri had to offer. The staff were more like friends and treated us like family. Sitting in the lounge in front of the fireplace enjoying the view of the mountains was absolutely stunning. AND the food was fabulous!!

Everything was perfect there. The decoration, the staff, and the room were extremely comfortable. Oh of course and the view from the room was divine. Walking distance from the city center really helped a lot as well.

Everything was amazing! We got the bus from the airport to across the road from the hotel, our room was perfect (lots of natural light, aircon, washer and dryer) and all the staff were very friendly.
