Very beautiful area, lovely history, nice restaurants and cafes. Great if you like to cycle, which sadly we do not. Autumn is the perfect time to visit. Be warned if you want to eat at Oliver's or the Post Office book ahead of time, we did not and could not get a booking. One night is probably enough, maybe two, then head off to Cromwell and onwards to see more.

Clyde is a lovely quaint little town full of history and character with beautiful scenery as well. For us it was the finishing point of an absolutely beautiful ride around the Clyde. We will definitely return to do another ride the Otago Rail trail - Clyde is the starting point of this ride. People were so friendly too.

The local pub has huge meals and a lovely atmosphere. No takeaways in Clyde Great for fruit orchards and cafes. Quaint historic part of town is the best. A nice relaxed town with a lot to offer . The dam is a great place to loo up and down the valley

Clyde is one of the few mining towns that kept its historic center. It has a lovely old town center, and lots of history. Not a ton of restaurants, but good for a couple of days. Cycling is the way to visit the area!

Clyde is a quiet small township off the main highway. It has quite a few cafes, art galleries etc. bike hire etc. We were touring and so only stayed one night but enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Old Post Office with plenty of locals in too.

The Lord Clyde is a beautiful hotel in Clyde. We were greeted by Victoria on our arrival, she was an exceptional host. The hotel is beautiful and felt extremely welcoming. The rooms were divine, with gorgeous beds. To top it off Victoria cooked us a divibe breakfast before we left. Go and stay at the Lord Clyde you will not be disappointed. If you want a gorgeous restaurant just go next door to the old post office restaurant and definitely have the seafood chowder, it is a stunner as were the hosts - thanks debbie

Monte Cristo is a very cool spot. It’s a well thought out and comfortable space - there was no need to leave the property (everything you needed all in one place) but if you had wanted to, it was nice and convenient to Clyde while still maintaining a ‘private’ feel. Staff were lovely and very accomodating.

This is a lovely little B&B. The photos don’t do it justice! Really beautiful and comfortable, large rooms with individual touches. Beautiful big gardens. Nice breakfast and friendly hosts. Clyde is also a nice little town for a stopover for a couple of nights.

Dunstan House was everything that we hoped it would be. Authentic, informal and real. Great breakfasts. Ian and Meridith were lovely hosts and Clyde is a wonderful base for exploring Central Otago.
