The owner, Andy, was so welcoming and gave good information about the area. Breakfast the next morning with some made to order options was quite a treat. The property is set in a lovely and peaceful orchard - just a great respite at the end of a busy travel day. Close to both Tutukaka and Whaigarei, it was perfectly situated for exploring and for our dive trip the next day to the Poor Knights Islands.

The room was clean, the staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to fulfill every request, and the view from the balcony was absolutely enchanting. I highly recommend staying here. Lovely rustic hideaway in tranquil setting, with bucolic views, birdsong chorus, piping hot woodfired hot tub and the most amazingly comfortable bed! Perfect couples retreat. Thoughtful touches like flashlights for nightime, a woodstove for chilly nights and farm breakfast supplies in the fridge. We wish we'd booked longer!
